New soul shields

So im looking at the 2 new SSs BSH and mushins and what i wanna know which is better for pve apparently its BSH but i wanna know why cause of the piearce and crit? cause i know Mushins can get crit aswell. 

also when will better ones be implemented based on update schedule?

They want you to mix and match for you class, play style and boss type.  Mushin set grants some beefy hp.  Determine the pieces that make you stronger, faster, better.
