Playing in NA and EU with the same account?

I mainly play in the NA servers but i got some friends that play in EU and would like to join them, so my question is will my characters from NA be erased if i start playing in EU?

No you can swap around whenever, keep in mind that each region is completely separated thought.

I hope this isn't too stupid of a question but how do you change regions or choose a region? I accidentally bought a duelist bundle in the EU region but my characters are on NA. The support staff told me to make a temporary character in the EU to transfer the contents to then they'd transfer them to my NA character of choice. The only problem is that in the character creation screen I see no option to choose EU or NA.
