Shadow Charge not working at random in mushins tower

in mushins tower (all floors) but not anywhere else, the assassin's skill shadow charge, (1 key) will randomly fail to function in one of two ways.

 

prerequisites: be behind your target between 5 and 16 meters away.

 

way 1, it simply will not activate, you stand where you are with your thumb up your butt.

way 2, it will activate, you will charge, and go into stealth, and immediately be out of stealth despite not receiving any hits.

 

This happens often enough that it makes it extremely difficult and frustrating to try to complete the tower, so much so that i wont be bothering with it until this issue if fixed.
