Cross server instability: Disconnect in cross/server/arena even though I'm still getting spammed by chat

Why is it that I get constantly disconnected from arena and cross server dungeons yet during the disconnect I still receive the constant chat messages that come through?

 

I'm not actually disconnected, yet my game will close in the middle of every arena fight or dungeon I try to play because of a disconnect.

 

I never disconnect in OW/server, so it's not my internet. It's whatever is being used to run the cross server / arena dungeons.

 

It's very frustrating that I can't participate in cross server anything. Rather, it's frustrating that I can only participate long enough to be tossed out of the game in the middle of doing any of it.

 

I was having a pretty good 1v1 in arena where I got dominated the first round and made a comeback in the second round only to disconnect in the middle of that round...

 

Every time I do 3v3s I'm much more likely to disconnect than 1v1. My 3v3 win rate is especially low, not just because of luck of the draw teammates.
