Came for a pvp game -> found out game's severely imbalanced

to keep it short, this game CANNOT be an eport in its current state, with destroyer 1 shotting ppl and there's nothing they can do about it.

When was eSports all about balance?

When the hell was sports overall about balance??

ummmmm

Maybe you need to learn all the other classes as well as you know yours....

It's kinda a must in PvP or else you will be crying that everyone is better....you CAN beat a destroyer with ANY class it may not be easy if the person is decent, but it can be done...

Hmm, they never expect it to be in eSport at the current state. They are looking at at least an year down the road.

The much heralded and talked about "balance" in relation to class vs class PvP is a myth. It has never existed, and it never will. Well, at least not without sacrificing replayability or "fun".

The word balance in relation to PvP implies that you have perfect symmetry between two classes. The only way perfect symmetry can be attained, is by replicating character class B to be identical in every way to class A. Certainly this is an attainable goal, albeit a very dull one.

The very idea behind different classes is to provide different point of views and gaming experiences to different players all while playing the same game. In order for true "balance" to be achieved, you'd have to be willing to sacrifice variety for the sake of perfect parity.

Are you certain that's what you want? As the old saying goes, "be careful what you wish..."

Some advice, never come to an mmo solely for the pvp. You will always be disappointed. Especially considering the fact that there are animation cancelling techniques that can be used by anyone without consequences, the pvp in this game is even more of a joke than in most mmo's.

When was "eSports" considered an actual sport?

You do realize you just insulted 1 billion people , 300 million of which are basement dwellers , 1 million of which are decent hackers or at least good script kiddies and most likely a handful of these were just offended by your ignorance.

Then, mission accomplished?

When money and major sponsorships got mixed into the fray.

A sport isn't decided based on how much financial funding or backing it has. The very notion of "sport" implies that some form of athletic ability be entailed. If eSports can be considered a sport now, than an equally strong argument can be made for considering Monopoly being an athletic event.

Or at the very least, competitive checkers.

I'm sorry, but you lost me moment you got too technical about the subject.

I understand where you're getting at, and technically it's correct.

But who's to say what is "what" exactly?

We're humans who like to chuck a bunch of words into other words to give it more value so we can hold meaning to a structure that was built for generations.

And that's all it is: words.

Just like how people finally accepted "gender" and "color" over time, eSports will be accepted as a "sport" over time, whether you like it or not.

Or eSports will crash and burn along with technology.

All I know is that we're a bunch of morons that let our lives be ruled over metal and paper.
