NC west Folder empty.

Hello there,

So currently I am trying to fix blade and soul, because it crashes right after login with BNScrashreport.

Believe it or not I have tryed almost every solution to this but none of those seemed to work.

But there is this one method that might fix the problem I'm having.

I should be able to configure certain files which can be found in the folder NCWest > BnS located in *my documents*.

But this folder seems to be empty. I have tryed reinstalling the game several times.

Note: that I cannot get into the game at all could this be the reason why the folder is empty?

I'll list down the steps I have taken trying to fix the problem with my system speccs.

  1. Completely removed every single razer software including registry files.
  2. Completely removed the game + the launcher from my computer including the registry files and left over folders/files.
  3. Performed a DNS Flush.
  4. Rebooted my computer.
  5. Disabled my virusscanner just incase.
  6. Downloaded the NClauncer & BnS Lite installer.
  7. Selected both NCLauncher & BnS Lite installer and troubleshoot compatibility and selected windows 7. (Did several installations with this method and without).
  8. Added everything to my firewall by adding them through *allow an app through windows firewall*.
  9. Installed NCLauncher through admin rights under C:\Program Files (x86)\NCWest.
  10. Installed BnS through admin rights under C:\Program Files (x86)\NCSOFT.
  11. After installation was completed I launched Blade & Soul through admin rights. (At this point I received the BNScrashreport).
  12. So I tryed deleting the gameguard folder. Let those be repaired/reinstalled and repeated step 10.
  13. Did a check on my drivers but nothing is out of date.
  14. Downloaded malwarebytes and performed a full scan for potential malware/threads. As nothing was detected I have removed malwarebytes.

System Speccs:

  • Operating Sytem: Windows 10 Home 64-bit.
  • Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4470 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8CPUs), ~3.4GHz
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • DirectX Version: 12
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960
  • PC manufacturer: MSI

I have probably performed 3 to 4 times the steps mentioned above, unfortunately I ended up with the same results.

Hopefully some one has the answer for me so I'll be able to play the game for once, thanks in advance.

Here is a image of the error and the empty folder.

Where does the NCLauncher show up when you've finished installing it?

Also, there should be a way of launching BnS without using the NC Launcher. I can't give you it directly but some people may or may not use it to use foreign voice files in the NA client. If you can somehow get your hands on that you might avoid the issue entirely.
