Possible bug?

Never played the japan version of this game so it may be intentional or there may be a mechanic I don't know about. I was in pvp against the fist user guys I get knocked down and he jumps on me to start punching me I use reversal, blade master skill, which is supposed to break me out of such things and it worked the first time I did it but 4 other times I spam clicked it, it went on cool down but hes still sitting there punching me.
