Wow, the game just looks so incredible on max. Too bad I'll prolly never be able to run it like that...

It doesn't really take much to play this game on max with decent framerate.

If you have a GTX 750 graphics card and a CPU processor that is at least 3.0 GHz and 2 cores, you can run this at max graphics (with AA included) anywhere between 22 to 40 FPS.

That's true even tough I'm using fx8350 with overclocked gtx970 I still can't get perfect 60fps :( drops to 50 from time to time.     (I need more computing powah!)

That's when you start disabling cores, and overclocking and undervolting ;)
The FX-8350 isn't far from an i53570k in terms of computing power, so you shouldn't be having any problems.  I think the largest issue you're running into is the combination of Nvidia, and AMD hardware.  They don't play as well together as AMD, and AMD or Nvidia, and Intel.

I have a GeForce GTX 750M and i7-4850HQ 2.30GHz and I'm struggling :(

What are the rest of your computers specs ? I'm using an AMD fx8350 and run 60fps.

Your issue is that you have a GTX 750M, that's a laptop GPU, not a desktop GTX 750.

Laptop GPUs are not made equally like their desktop counterparts because of heat distribution, especially with the older gen models.

Your 750M is approximately 2-3 times worse than the desktop gtx 750, so unfortunately you will see bad performance. The CPU is fine however, so I wouldn't fret too much about it.

If you aren't afraid of touching electronics and tweaking the BIOs settings (and some heavy investing on some PC parts) you could potentially turn your laptop into a modern gaming rig by installing an eGPU, but that's only if you're willing to invest a bit under $200 on eGPU parts, and not even including the graphics card (which can be anywhere between $100 ~ $300 depending on how well you want to run games on your laptop).

The upside to doing this however, is that now you'll finally be able to play games efficiently. And depending on what graphics card you get, you could even play games like the Witcher 3 easily over 30 FPS on max settings.

It all depends on how you see yourself playing games and what's your preference.

I personally can't live without it. ;)

yeah game looks awesome on max but it wont run that well... even tough i got i5-3310p @3.1ghz and GTX 680 EVGA

Which is weird, because that should beat my specs out of the water.

What FPS are you aiming for? Did you make sure to update your drivers?

And more importantly, did you make sure to configure your PhysX settings to run on your GPU instead of your CPU?

I'd definitely love to upgrade my thing, but unfortunately for me I'm both saving up and this is also a macbook pro I bought 2 years ago when I thought it would be a good idea if I wanted something hybrid to both work with and play with.

It probably would've cost way less to get 2 different laptops instead, one for gaming, one for working... Oh well.

Another option would be spending money on parts and building a desktop PC yourself that way you get the most value for your money there's a lot of quides on YouTube how to build one :)
