Weapon skins from merchants

During CBT, I could purchase a weapon from the merchants which I can use to re-skin my gauntlets. Now they're all unavailable for appearance change. How come? My favourite skin (The Raw Iron Gauntlet found in Yehara's Mirage) is only obtainable from a merchant and I can't use it to re-skin? There are crafted Raw Iron Gauntlets in the Marketplace but it doesn't look the same. That's a bit bogus don't you think!? I know it's not that big of an issue but I would appreciate it if this is addressed. Thanks.

Yeah, it would really be nice if all weapons could be used to reskin.  Even the starting ones.

starting weapons ARE in fact skinnable (just a different color scheme) they are available for tier 1 forgekeeper reputation. i think it was Viridan Coast forgekeeper secret technique scroll.
