Can't block gold spam bots with periods in their names

See title. In fact you can't do much of anything with an account with a period in the name because "the player can't be found".

The spam went from bad to worse with the patch.  I just wonder what NCSoft is going to do about those of us with Premium that are not getting any benefit out of it due to more bugs being introduced than being fixed...  *facepalm*
