No way did a guardian check 'yes' to please show my kid pornography when okaying them to register to Blade & Soul because it's illegal to show it in the presence of minors for at least my country. This game is rated M no R. M is 16+, R is 18+ and has different requirements to make it so.

 

If your stupid enough to put that stuff up, you should just get permanently banned, period. I don't want the generations following me to think "this is what people do" and then go do it themselves because it will happen, its the nature of things to push boundaries which this is. If u don't push back it just grows into something else.

First of all, the game is intended for a mature audience.

Second, it's not something shoved in your face, you specifically have to open someone's character information to see it. If you have people around you that might get offended, do it later.

Dont you have to make an effort to go look at someones profile pic? Therefore you knowingly take the risk of seeing whatever they have uploaded. Its a rated mature game. This is like complaining about mature subject matter in a R rated movie....

i thought this game itself is for 15+ y/o or so. and even if there's a kid out there who played this game im sure they didnt ask for their parent's permission.

I don't believe there should be any "risk" involve in trying to see what someone is equipping or their stats. Think about it again, is it normal and not wrong in the slightest way where you have to consider any "risks" when trying to simply inspect someone's gear? Like dude, oh no I can't see check his gear because there might be gay porn or something. That's ridiculous, if I simply wanted to see someone's stats, I should be able to with just a click of a button without having to worry or think about consequences.

If they are playing this game and are under 16 I'd assume it's part of their parent's responsibility to know what games they are playing.

Rated M never shows the female's kitty or the man's hammer. Boobs is okay for rated M

Exactly some good points, I feel like people do not know what rated M for mature means. If there were no restrictions, you'd have seen Yura entirely wouldn't you? Whatever, this thread is done. Another 45 mins until the servers are back up not bad for killing time.

 

Most interesting I got out of this was that this is the internet and not real life, as if you have no responsibilities for what you do online and that the two are completely different realms. That's quite depressing to hear. Trolls are the best

Right. I'm not complaining about any of the sexual content, whether its in-game or a picture someone uploaded to their profile. It just blows my mind that people will sit here and play a game that consists mostly of killing people in various ways but flip out at the sight of genitalia. Genitalia which most of us will see if we just look down inside our pants. Its sad that people are conditioned to believe that the human body is something to be disgusted by but violence is not.

It's not about the game being rated M or R or Pegi 13....
 

First off, Rated M does not necessarily include nudity or violence, something can be rated M because of the vocabulary or drug use. Sooo stop it with the whole rated M game shit because you don't know what you're talking about.

Being allowed to put porn or any other sort of degrading or racist picture up should be against the TOS as you're violating the code of conduct. Simply take a screenshot of the person who has said picture or defensive name and report it in a ticket.

Anyway my point, Just because you have the ability to do something  does not mean there shouldn't be consequences. You're born with fist, but you don't go around punching people in the face simply because you can, why? because consequences. So why are people defending these children that google porn and degrading/racist pictures? Because they have no moral values and do not care if this game or this community becomes the next shit community because they will just move on to the next game and sadly do the same thing.. but why are they going to move on and just destroy something else? Because there was no penalty for the behavior therefore they will glaDly do whatever they know they can't freely express in real life because anonymity is not the case in real life. 

People are not complaining simply because they want to destroy the game/community.. it's because we are trying to restore a long lost attribute game community's once had, back when Everquest, Tibia, Ultima, etc. Those games were all great games, and one of the things that made it great was the development teams and the community as a whole.

Sadly today, we don't have many great games like those anymore, but it's most likely because we don't have loyal devs to help mold a community.

I never get comments like these. Most games including b&s from what I've seen so far is hardly going to scar anyone underage. When I was younger I'd play some games under the recommended age and while things are more advanced since then, you'd still get kids watching movies above their age and they can be more 'disturbing'. While no-one wants to hear whining, I find the "omergerd you're a bad parent if you let timmy play such and such" an overreaction. I'd probably feel safer that my potential teen played this than LoL where you get so much hate. I doubt they'd be any less mature than some of the adults on this forum (if they are adults...).

 

On topic, porn has no place, if it is indeed r@pe as the OP say it is, then that's obviously messed up and should be forbidden. Furthermore just because it's rated Mature, does not mean that anything goes. If the team finds it fitting, then so be it, however I'm unsure this is something they think is fitting with its design. You can't argue with stupid though, I've seen people think that it is their right to post loli porn on a non mature gaming forum because "kids will be asleep anyway because our timezone is the only one that exists".
