Whats so special about viridan quarts guys? i am lvl 22 and havent seen anything special about them,except their price :P

specifically, they are needed to make:

premium simple refiners (merry potters) that are used for a variety of things, most notably the viridian transformation stones (that will also need an additional quartz to make) and gem pouches ( radiant ring).
