Crafting & Gathering not able to gather items

I have found Lake Mud under Green Thumbs in Jadestone village area you are not able to harvest.  The little pile is sparkly and such but i cant click on it and also under Tree Fellers Yulan Magnolia Log in Jadestone near the Town Hall is the same way, its sparkly but i cant click on it and no i have not clicked on there already lol.  Everywhere else seems to be fine except in Jadestone.

...the first requests can only be done as part of your initiation quest into a gathering guild. you neeed to accept the quest from the respective assistants to harvest the starting goods.
