Petal Storm sometimes doesn't work.

I fight Dokumo a lot at the moment and I noticed that in some runs my Petal Storm tier 2 stage 1 blocks his ranged spit attack fine, and some runs it doesnt block it ever.. The skill states that it resists all ranged attacks and status effects for 10 seconds, yet I get hit and poisoned by Dokumo's spit sometimes :x
