Game freezing on quests

Hi there guys having an issue on certain quests and NPC interaction where the game freezes no option to complete the action is offered for example you click on a quest and the first dialogue box opens and nothing else so you are frozen on the screen you can't back up or do anything. It doesn't force close or offer any error code just is stuck.

 

Any ideas guys?
