Sdric
And add an indication which server is how full. Otherwise the new servers won't help much since a lot of people rather quit a game than start from scratch. Somebody on reddit had a good comparison: You live in an overcrowded apparment complex. Then somebody build a shiny new one next to it. You are free to move - but aren't allowed to take any inventory with you, not even your pants. Lexter
Or merge some overpopulated servers with servers with less players and stiop new registrations if full. But i dont know if it is possible.
Draryn
Adding new servers is a good thing... at first. It only helps the ones creating new characters (whereas even then, if they got friends/whatever saying "Ooh, I'm on <populated server with huge queue>, join me BRAH!" they'll probably join that server instead of a new, shiny, empty one). But when you already have a bunch of characters on <populated server with huge queue>, new servers do nothing for you except for... uh... well.. okay, literally nothing. Nada. Njet. BUT! Since the initial hype will fade after a month or two, many server will get emptier, and those that are too empty will probably be merged. So, what about adding a Server Transfer Voucher? Don't care what it's called or whether it's a voucher or (better yet) a single button anywhere to move your character to another server. Let's say it'll stay there for 2 months (until March 31th maybe?) -- if you're on <populated server with huge queue> you can (free of charge, ideally) let your character be moved to <new server with tiny or no queue at all>. That way, the load should go off of all servers and probably be rather evenly split. A group of players on a populated server could move to a rather empty server as a whole... many people would probably act that way if they encounter huge queues, so there'll be benefits for those who move and those who don't: Less queues. Less people on the populated servers => Queue will shrink. People move to emptier/newer servers => they won't be in vain. So.. whatdya think?
