SirLouie
This is always happening to me every time I start the game after character selection. I just downloaded the game and there were no errors in the file check. Any help? I live in the Philippines and I have a high-end PC. My connection is also stable based on my tests. SirLouie
ok will try it then report back. BTW, WTFast is working but I don't want to take the risk of getting perma ban.
SirLouie
Avira is working fine! Thanks @Khaligoth. I think I know the issue, it is related to a host file change. Probably Windows Defender/Firewall is blocking this and causing the DC issue. Avira asks for permission to do this when the game is launched. I will observe the behaviour of the game and will report back.
Oni07R
I can confirm that setting hosts file to read-only solves the issue. No need for Avira.

Oni07R
Fun fact: it worked when I tried with a friend's account but it's not working with my account. 2016 and developers still can't avoid connection issues...
Niaik
had this issue constantly, couldn't get passed the first sentence installed avira and every problem went away so seems a legit fix
