Crafting: Why can I only craft piece 8 of soul shields?

Why can I only craft piece 8 of soul shields? Do I need recipes to craft the other pieces?

 

I thought I'd get more options as I advanced, but I didn't. Am I missing something obvious?

Coz those soulshields aren't suposed to be equiped, they are used for fusion, as their name sais "Critical Soulshield" gives +crit on fusion, "Evasion Soulshield" gives +evasion, and so on.
And aslong as 8th piece of any soulshield gives maximum bonus on fusion there is no need to craft any other pieces for that purpose
