Bug? Error? What is this?

I log in, verify, game launches, and this is all normal. Put PIN in and works fine, then it does nothing. I'm just at a screen and nothing happens. The camera moves around, no error pops up, it doesn't close me out from what I waited for (roughly 5 minutes). Just nothing happens. So then I hard close out of the game, and try again. This time I get a notification saying cannot update game, restart computer. So I restart, error comes up, do repair nothing comes up, try again, cannot update... WHAT DO I DO? I don't even know when, or even if I update the first problem won't occur again! Please help.
