How do I enable surround sound?

In the sound options it shows a Dolby Digital logo. I am assuming it is not DD 2.0, and instead multi-channel. I have a 5.2 system, hooked up to a DD-capable receiver. Without enabling DD on my receiver, how do I enable it?

I would love to know about this too. I'm using a X-Fi Titanium and obviously the Game is using OpenAL (because there is OpenAL32.dll and wrap_oal.dll inside the bin Folder). Also you can even choose the Device in the Sound Option Menu which indicate it should be used in Hardware. But still I only got Sound from the Front Pair of Speakers (while it should be all 7 Speakers from my Setup). Using Creative Alchemy enable Quad Sound so far (only Front and Back Pair produce Sound) but it shouldn't be necessary if it uses OpenAL in Hardware. I hope there might be anyone giving further Information about this, even I enjoy playing the Game for many Days already without noticed yet (just thought it works due the Dolby Digital Logo and the Device Dropdown Select).

i have same problem too since i have sound blaster cinema 2 software on my msi x99s gaming 7 in 5.1 channel speakers. I don't know to config this  =_=
