Loading times unnessisary?

Why does the game need to load so frequently? Why am I having such a long load time when I'm just spawning a few paces away from where I died? If other players can target and kill me, what am I waiting to load? Whatever it is that is causing load-times and you just remove it? It's annoying and in my face, and I can't think of a good reason for it besides when you are teleporting to an entirely new zone. Feels like a badly configured unreal 3 engine.
