extremely low frame rate at populated areas

Here's my computer setup

graphics card: Nvidia GTX 770

processor: Intel i7 - 4770K CPU @3.50GHz

RAM: 32GB

System: windows 7 64bit

drivers are all up to date.

All graphics option is set to maximum with 2x FXAA. i have solid 70-100 frames in most situations like outdoors and dungeons, as soon as I encounter any area with a lot of players my frame rate tanks below 10.

When I was doing E supply line dailies I have around 80 frames in the area, as soon as I enter the room with the boss that uses flash bombs( forgot her name), my frame rate will tank below 20 sometimes below 10 if there are a lot of people and my game will freeze whenever she uses her flash bomb ability.

When I tried to do ogres and blackwyrm today, I simply could not get the credit for the kill even after i turned all graphics option to 1 and hit CRTL+F to hide all players. My frame rate is still below 10 which makes it impossible to do these fights.

Even if I hide all other characters I can still see there ability effects. I tried to turn SFX effect for other players to the lowest and it doesn't help a bit.

The game runs fine 90% of the time, but as soon as i do anything with a large amount of people my frame rate just goes below 10 and the game constantly freeze for a few seconds then resume.

Hopefully I can get some help here.

Well i guess it's because of the player ammount in that place, more loading than usual = lag :(

that's the thing, i seem to be the only one having that problem.

if a lot of people are having the same problem blackwyrm and ogres should basically be unplayable, seeing it gets killed regularly i think it's something to do with the spec or the game not working well with i7s?

The game is poorly optimized. That's the only answer there is.

I drop from 45 average to 15 average in dungeons with parties. Considering that end game content will include 25-man raids, I don't know how I'm expected to participate when I can barely participate in a 6 man without dropping below 15.

Initially, people were speculating that the game runes heavily on CPU... and while this is TRUE, even CPU's with ridiculously high single-core performance are getting dropped below 30 fps.

Don't let the player amount fool you either. While yes, having a crap ton of players on screen at the same time can drop your FPS, 6 players spamming abilities in a dungeon should not be dropping a players FPS by 30-50.

Also, don't let people tell you your temperatures are high. They're not. This game doesn't pull that kind of performance from hardware.

As I said, terrible optimization. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

I think they will fix it, it's not like they would let an amazing game die just because they are lazy, right? They wouldn't let it stay, i know they are working hard on fixing as much as possible, that's why they ask people to send info about bugs and other stuff :)

Buy better hardware, lol. jk jk. I have litterally no issue at all with this.

My specs are:
Fx-8320
R9 290X
16GB DDR3.(At 1337 or w/e, not super fast)

Tough all is water cooled soo overhead isnt a problem as it auto over clocks when needed.

I did turn down my specs a bit because i'm running multiple screens on 1 gpu.

Edit.I'm using the in game inaccurate FPS for this.
did a run on MAX. LEAA works better than FXAA(on 4x).
Turned Motion blur and advance blur off because blur sucks.
Getting FPS from around 34 to 60(cap set on 60). With all special effects apart from blur.

Going from x4 to x2 gained me barely 3 FPS gain. going to x1 from x2 gained me the biggest FPS, almost a 10FPS gain.
Turning off special effects gained me another 5 to 10 FPS.

This all with a multiple monitor setup.

ALso, there is still poping in pretty close while distance is on max.. so there is that,

Putting all setting on 4, disabling volumetric, ambient and only using water effects and no Aa... gained me almost nothing.. and thats what i was running by default.

I'm playing on a stable 12 fps rate all the time , you guys should try it . It's ... gamechanging :D

'Gamechanging' yeah XD

Not to mention, along with lag, we get crashes, bugs, disconnections and inability to connect on the first try after pressing log in. I believe they will fix it, i know they are working hard on this, they won't let this game go to waste, that's for sure. They are fixing up Wildstar well and doing a good job. That's how people react to devs  view.php?pic=2zitqfo&s=9#.VqUgsE9LZN0

one of my friend is playing on a 2-year-old laptop and getting better performance than my desktop in blackwyrm and ogres so i don't think buying a better computer is going to solve this problem

besides, my spec is good enough to run this game in theory

My fps has improved to 22 / 25 ( rarely 25 but hey it's better than 12 lol ) , not even complaining my PC is old :D

doesn't matter if i stand in a city or in the open world , solo a dungeon or run with a party.

I cannot hold 50 fps stable on 800x600

FX8350 5.25ghz

R9 290x 1900mhz

8GB DDR3

OS Win 10 + installed on an SSHD.

Been talking to the support no result yet.

and aye , doesn't make a difference if i play on 800x600 or 1920x1080 game runs like apeshit either way.

I got the same problem PerfectInputs. The difference is that i can't hold 25fps stable and my notebook have a graphic card worst than yours, but i got the same resolution bug and low fps with no reason. I can run battlefield 4 but cant run this game stable

FX 8350 /w Master Cooler 212 EVO

GTX 970

16GB Corsair RAM

SSD Evo 500gb

2720 x 1536 resolution

Everything is maxed except Shadows, motion blur (because who needs that in PvP?) and Physics.

Turning Physics off (boob jiggle) boosted me almost 10 FPS alone lol. I was dropping to 35 in populated towns but now I'm not usually below 45 and OW I am 80 FPS + almost always and that's on a bad MOBO.
