Question about latency.

So, long-winded question short.
Does the server you play on matter in terms of latency?
Are there any servers preferred for East Coast US players for ping?

Basically playing KFM in PvP, and being a bit frustrated with the overall situation. Knowing ping would help a bit, at least with executing combos/reactions. Currently on Poharan, unsure of what ms is since there's no in-game detection. But it definitely doesn't feel like 20 or something. 
So, basically, is there a way to optimize ms?

Certainly, every US server will work, if You want to check Your ping, try either task manager or other external software.

I guess maybe I should specify, already playing on NA server set - on Poharan. Was moreso curious if all servers are located in Dallas, Texas or if there were a specific server for better ms playing from the East Coast.
