Keep crashing after about 8 mins of playing

Recommended Posts

when i crash i get a bug report that says
"An error has occurred in your Blade_Soul client.
An error report has been made regarding the status of the installed blade and soul client, your hardware configuration, the DDL list loaded to the memory data relevant to other client errors"
The crash happens completely at random, i could even be accepting a quest and then i crash

Do a memcheck first (takes a while) - if it comes up with errors, you need to replace rams. If the check comes clean, you need to check your hard drives for corrupted/bad sectors.

If you have no obvious problems with rams or storage drives, you want to reinstall from scratch.

Post update when you´ve done that, so other players with similar issue may see your results.

Please check ur paging file settings. If its set automatically, change it and put manual and make sure that you set the values on 2.5x the value of ur total ram.

if u know how to, please check your event viewer and check what does the actual error report says.

Copy paste the report info here and someone might be able to check and identify it.

I wonder why you think changing the settings for virtual memory would somehow solve this problem. As per the error-messages, the problem seems to be corrupted data in the installation, which likely comes from bad rams or bad storage drive. Limiting the virtual memory should not solve this problem if the diagnosis is correct.

Also, it´s rarely recommended to change page file size.

...

thats why

as it says

paging file = your hard drive acting like a RAM

Default paging file settings = Paging file on drive C or on your OS drive, where your BNS client is also installed

simply, very easy to corrupt things when everything is coming and happening on the same directory...just imagine, your cooking, eating and shitting on the same room...omg... now regret u did imagine it lolz

...

@BishBashBoshh have u tried doing a FILE CHECK on the BNS client?

Your logic is flawed to me.

hardware configuration could refer to any pc component, but as it also mentions the installation it has to do with either 1) data while it´s being written 2) the disc it´s written on.

So the logical conclusion (assuming the diagnosis is correct) - is that either the ramsticks are faulthy (very common) and while it´s it´s stored temporarily in the ram blocks, the date isn´t transferred correctly to the drive.

The other option is (also very common), the storage drive has bad sectors and when installation is stored on the storage drive, the actual data is not saved correctly or over time being corrupted.

There´s a ton of possibilities why this may happen (bad quality ram/storage drives, faulthy PSU with badly regulated voltages, magnetic/static damage, physical damage, damage through overheat etc),

Changing the virtual memory size (microsoft windows page file), will only limit the size - it won´t solve the problem.

Imagine if you ask a postman (ram stick) to deliver 10 letters to your mailbox (storage drive) - if the postman gets the letters confused and delivers a couple of wrong letters - or if your mailbox is full of water - in both cases you won´t be able to read the 10 letters meant for you properly.

So the solution would be to check if the postman is at faulth or if the mailbox is at faulth.

Changing page file, would just tell the postman to take only carry a lesser or higher number of letters at a time - it wouldn´t solve the postmans incompentency at delivering the right letters or save the letters from being soaked in a mailbox full of water.

Hope it makes sense ~
