Can't see Friends

I've recently added my friends that are playing this game. We are on the same server and channel and even in the same area but it shows that none of my friends are near me. On the map it shows they are right on top of me. I don't know if Its something in the settings or just a bug that needs to be worked out. I've also tried unadding them as a friend to see if it would help and it hasn't. 

Please help.
