ruddog
is it possible to dodge while in combat and if so how do you do it?
Joobilea
@ruddog Not sure if class specific, but clicking the back arrow twice real quick lets me dodge by jumping backwards.
ruddog
I tried the back arrow and it doesn't dodge so it is probably class specific.

What lvl are you exactly and what class are you playing? Because backstep is available for every class (didn't tried destroyer and kung fu master, but i'm pretty sure they have it too) and you get it around lvl 12-15 (not sure when). You will get it eventualy as you lvl :) And later on you will get more options to dodge too (side step, and class-specific skills which gives you dmg immunity)
lunawisp
I've found the 'double-tap' dodge quite unreliable in this game. Sometimes it works, more often than not the double-tap is simply ignored. I'm used to doing it in GW2 so I'm pretty sure it's not me!

I assume you mean "S" right haha. I know for sure that as a BM/FM you can double S whenever and you'll go into combat mode. Most classes have Q/E as evades too to dodge
