Black Cut Scenes

So idk if its just me. But recently, If I hit esc to fast when a cut scene starts my scene will just go black but i can still hear the sound effects through the black screen of death. Causing me to task manager out and wait in another 3 hour que. Is this an issue with the game itself or a hardware issue?
