Character stuck, Escape option does nothing.

I was jumping around in the beginner area as I fell off the map.

Character is dead in mid-air and nothing else. No resurrection option, nothing.

I tried the escape option several times, but as I press the button, nothing happens.

Relogging does not solve this. This is immensely annoying, help much appreciated.
