disconnected

everytime I try to connect and play my character it says disconnect from server(300). I made it to the character select screen but everytime I try to play that character (or any character) it instantly pops up with disconnect from server(300). Thought that server might be down so I made a new character on a different server. Same thing happened.

 

Edit** Now that I thought about it. there was a patch version 9 I had to update. Maybe that had something to do with it? but I still made it to the character select screen.
