Is this an assassin decoy bug?

So after a successful decoy I am teleported behind the enemy in stealth but I am unable to move the character left or right with the mouse for a few seconds.... The camera locks in this period and makes it hard to target enemies especially in pvp when people are moving around. Is this intended or is it a bug?
