i just got a patch and then it happened the same problem launcher fails and game client dose not open after getting a DC sigh stoping point were process stops in SS below

the process looks like it's running, Blade & Soul by bloodlust, and it's using CPU and memory... but i see no game... crazy! looks like i'll try again in the morning

Same thing is happening to me.  Finally get a chance to download the client and game so that I can jump into the headstart I paid for and can't get into the game.  Same little NCsoft window as everyone else, but no game. :(

I'm also having this issue in Windows 8.1.  I click the shortcut, enter password and email, then the patcher window just closes and that's it.  Just an entry in the task manager.

On the same boat. Been trying to start the game for the past hour, Already reinstalled the game and launcher a couple of times and nothing happened. Also checked compatibility and nada. Hope this gets fixed. I didn't have this problem during ALL the cbt and name reservation. I hope this gets fixed.

I'm not sure if this applies to all but, if you tried launching the game or hit "play" multiple times, make sure to kill the process from task manager. It sits there and eats CPU%. This is not a resolution, just may affect your other apps performance due to the BnS issue
