Error 4049

After logging in and starting the game the error appears: "The game client encountered an error while running. Shutting down the game client. (4049)"

I also tried to turn off my antivirus software, my firewall. Deleted the Gameguard & checked hosts file.

I hope someone knows how to fix this error.

after the guidline of ncsoft did not help, i reinstalled win 7. That didn't help... But after updating to win 10, the problem disappeared...

Running windows 10, I had the same error.

 

After restarting my computer, the game launched, so that is my recommendation for windows 10 users. Try restarting.

For 4049 you just Ctrl+Alt+Delete and find BnS running, end task it. It should work after.

okay fixed it. uninstalled everything, reset my computer, then I installed the nexon launcher, then BnS, after that I restarted again just to be safe, and then I needed to launch from the BNS desktop shortcut.
