I don't see a option to turn off blood. Is there a reason for this?

Unless I'm mistaken, there is no option to turn the blood off in this game which is puzzling since MMOs are supposed to be widely accessible. I'm squeamish and so I always turn off the blood in games.

The game doesn't need such an option. Adding it in would just be pointless work for a non-issue.

This game has been out for quite a while now and blood has been in it since the very beginning (look at the early, like 2009-ish trailers). Most people who know of the game know that there is blood in it and expect it. If you can't handle that then it may be time for you to either just get over it or find a different game to play.

Well, I never brought it up until now because I had always assumed the game would have the option since it's a MMO which tend to have the most options of any sort of game (Final Fantasy XIV even won AbleGamers' 2013 GOTY). TERA even has different levels of blood to choose from.

There's absolutely no need to be rude when they are just asking a simple question. If you can't provide an answer without acting like a fool then don't. We don't need that attitude here.

Zabi: I don't believe there is an option to turn it off, I'll look around though.

A question was asked, and it was also answered.

I'd say today was a pretty good day, wouldn't you?

I looked everywhere in the relevant options and didn't see it, but I appreciate the concern.

Nice bait.

Almost fall in that one.

If there is any baiting going on here, I don't see it.

When I was going over the options I didn't see any such option sadly Zabi, however it may be worth suggesting a QoL suggestion for such an option for them to implement down the road.

How/where do I make such a suggestion? I didn't see a suggestion box of some sorts.

Am I the only one that didn't notice any blood while playing the game (even though I even played TW version) ?

Or either i'm just so used to it so that I didn't even notice.

I do not have any problem with the blood in this game.  However, I also have no problem with there being an option to turn off the blood for those who do have a problem with it.  +1 for a Blood/No blood option.

Didn't really notice any blood either, that said..

I'd assume the designers figured that anybody old enough for the highly sexualized women is old enough for a little blood?

(and forgot that some people just have issues with blood regardless of how old they are?)

I don't really see the point in adding a blood filter to the options.  While it may be true that MMOs have this feature, I think that the whole theme this game has is kind of counter-productive towards having an option to turn off the blood.

There's blood in this game? I didn't even notice. You'd have to have a blood phobia to notice. But now that you mention it, I want Mortal Kombat levels of gore. If they add an option to remove it... they should add an option to increase it!

Like others said, what blood? Other than blood on the uniform of an injured NPC, to show that they are clearly injured, I never saw any blood that I can remember. I know some games show splatters of blood when you attack things, and bodies exploding into chunks when you kill something, but saw nothing of the sort here, so there's nothing to filter out.

I would say this is a troll thread, but considering all the other utterly ridiculous things people post on this forum in complete seriousness...

The game has almost no blood at all except in a few cinematics. Even someone with hemophobia should be able to get by in Blade and Soul. I'm really wanting to believe this is just a silly troll post, but perhaps the thread creator hasn't even played the game like some other people making silly requests. The violence/gore in the game are at a PG to PG-13 level tops and the mature rating comes merely from themes and the sexy outfits.

I did not notice any blood, but I remember in CN Client that blood ingame seems to be black color instead of red, maybe that is why some of us missed it or maybe we pressed ESC key every time a cinematic appears.

Maybe they should add blood options to BnS?

I don't say this because less blood, but I say it cause I want to see more blood. :D

That's strange. When I played the Chinese version the black blood was very noticeable. Did the black color make it more noticeable or did the Chinese do something extra or something? Well, when I get new hardware in a month or two I'll be able to properly play the game and see for myself if I was blowing things out of proportion. Right now I can just mess around in the options menu and such on my old laptop. The computer I used to play the Chinese version died.

Anyway, I apologize to everyone if I was blowing things out of proportion.

One more thing, for those who want to know what my issue with extreme violence is, I was traumatized by gore porn.

Actually, if you check this video out you can see some blood splatter, for some attacks. Although that video, while done with actual in-game game play, is done for visual presentation, not for demonstrating actual normal game play purposes, as it is zoomed way in, and showing angles off to the side, or in front. When I play, and any actual game play videos of others I've seen, we are always looking from behind, and a ways, to a fair ways back, from back there, you just can't see the splatter much, if at all, which would be why I, and others just couldn't remember seeing any. Then often the effects during an attack aren't that of blood splatter, just sparks, flashes, etc. If you have to look that hard to see the blood splatter, when it is there, I just don't see much need to have a no blood option.

You're okay with rapidly and repeatedly slaughtering player and NPC alike but not with the blood?

Regardless, options are just that - options, and more of them are always nice. +1
