After reading some post in this topic i feel like looking at some kindergarten kids: Teacher, he stole my toy!!! :(
Really, can't believe people are bothered by some random picture, it won't bite you, dw. Grow up a bit and stop feeling hurt by some random pics.
As on a more important aspect, would be actually fun if this char info would even work on EU, you should be happy you can see it, here it works rarely 1/10 times. :D

Hello!

Thanks again everyone regarding the feedback on Player Pictures. As some of you may have pointed, letting user-generated content (UGC) into the game also mean that there's a risk of abuse. And as of now we are aware that there's no convenient way to report players in-game for such violations.

However using the Blade & Soul Support Site, players can still be reported should any kind of abuse occur (this is valid for Profile Pictures but not only). Just submit a Ticket to report someone.

I will also take the opportunity to comment a statement I have often come across on forums, saying that because Blade & Soul was to be rated Mature in North America, all kind of behavior should be accepted. Online interactions (which include Chat or any kind of UGC) aren't part of the rating process.

We at NCSOFT have our own Rules of Conduct. When it comes to behavior expected from players online our Rules of Conduct are stricter than what a Mature rating can typically allow. This also applies to Forums in here. If you are unsure if something would break the rules, then it most likely does so don't publish/say it.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in making Blade & Soul online environment enjoyable to everyone.

Thank you for the clarification. I don't personally get offended by whatever people put up, but knowing there's a way to report is really good.

Pso2 jp allows in game pics and mostly they are created with an in game editor. There are ways to import real images but it's a lengthy process and in the end you'll likely have to finesse in game after (building blocks are shapes not dots). I rarely saw questionable content (and again never bothers me enough to do more than laugh) so ability to report in game plus quick gm action can work for user submitted content.

And FYI you can spam this to an entire map (12 people) or block (no idea the limit on this). Much more impactul than something that you need to click on a player for.

I like the profiles tho I can foresee the abuse sitting there with a party lead inspecting everyone's gear lol (happened in ddo when they had this exact feature).

So far I've only seen pictures of characters. Maybe because I know better than to inspect someone called Well Hung and somesuch.

I saw so much questionable content, but honestly it was so fun, and often hilarious to see what crazy stuff people could make with that tool. I'm glad it was there and I'd love to see it in more games.

Hey, if people having sex in public offends you, don't look, that's all I'm sayin.

And having sex (or even going through the motions while clothed) CAN get you charged with an indecent act..

Ty for the clarification..

What some people seem to fail to consider is that BIG BROTHER IS watching ..

IF NCSoft doesn't police itself (and the same goes with all these online games and forums) sooner or later the police and government agencies will by coming and and pulling down the servers so THEY can track the metadata..

I for one think that NCSoft and it's possible rulings will be a lot more lenient than the government censors who can see 2 kittens playing and might think it is a sexual image (honestly the censors SHOULD all have to see a shrink everyday before starting work)/

What’s so inappropriate about some boobs? Why does everyone continue to support this bizarre sexual repressive culture? Let me guess, anime of boobs will be forbidden but anime of violence, death, malicious, horrible acts etc will be just fine and illicit no response in a majority of players. Don’t you guys just want to hack all the hypercriticism out of your own brains? It's not ok to be upset with boobs. You're playing a video games where blood goes flying, you don't have the right to be upset about any profile pictures. You are already on the dark side, you just don't know it.

I agree with you I have said for years that many of NA issues are compounded by the fact that violence or even hyper-violence is fine but nudity is BAD .. the human body is EVIL..

BUT we have to live with in the laws of the country we live in and work with ..

Soon if the TPP plans go through you won't know any difference anyway when some internet areas go dark due to censorship (to censor these sites oddly enough police and government agencies watch them but our elected parents get to tell US what is ok)

The legal mature content is not the issue, it's the potential for illegal, let's call the FBI to investigate the pics because Jared from subway posted them.  If they can post regular pics then they can post illegal pics.  That possibility of posting illegal stuff is there and will probably happen if not regulated.

yay, more regulating!

/endsarcasm....

Every online community has this. Zenimax and Funcom have a code of conduct for their forum and their games, even though ESO and TSW are rated M. This isn't something new that NCSoft is slapping on people to censor them.

A "Mature" rating refers to the game content, not what kind of behavior is allowed in the forums or by players in-game. There's a code of conduct that applies to the forum and in-game behavior.

My problem is that people who are playing this "mature" game are not mature themselves. If they would and have some distance to themselves it wouldn't hurt them.

These vile images have taken my poor, poor innocence  :(

I like your sarcasm :)

I agree with you, but I think we're talking about entirely different people. :P

Why does NA have to be different.

Everywhere is different. Every region has its own rating for content, and its own standards for their code of conduct. NA isn't unique in that regard. FWIW, NCSoft has similar language in their code of conduct in South Korea (Article 13, #9).

To put things in perspective, it should also be noted that pornography is illegal in South Korea, and internet censorship is pervasive there, so as far as NA being "different" regarding censorship goes, that's not necessarily a bad thing.

This is a problem how? How in the world do you stumble into a game like this with it's themes and design, then whine about said sexual themes and antics.
