  1. It's unfortunate the current state of MMOs. I am a long time veteran of BDO, and having recently quit that game after 3 years to come back to BnS is bittersweet. The combat is how I remembered it from beta and fresh NA release times, and the lack of UI issues (huge deal if any of you know whats been going on in BDO), it all felt so fresh coming back to the game about a month ago. And the lack of gear degradation upon failed enhancement attempt was amazing. But now as I become more involved, despite having my hopes raised with news of UE4 coming, I can see that a long term reinvestment into this game isn't conducive for me either. I am now currently playing five different MMOs just trying to find a new home. *sigh The formula for the perfect MMO is literally right there, any half decent dev should be able to see it clear as day, but here we are in 2019 still grasping at straws and compromising just to end up being milked for our money for no returns.
  2. If I may add in my $0.02, as a returning player coming from Black Desert, the gear grind in B&S seems so relaxed in comparison. Everything is laid out for you with build trees and upgrade paths and no RNG. In BDO, spending billions of silver enhancing accessories that blow up on failure for 1 AP gain is such a tilting factor that I personally know more people than I can count that quit the game because of it. While I can agree, yes, that insane amount of items to upgrade is quite the wall to climb, at least you know every bit of progress you gain is progress that can't taken from you according to the whims of some half-assed coding by a dev that doesn't give a rats ass about the game. Also, not having hidden stats on gear is nice too.
