I troved a lot more in earlier times because:
- you could get current items out of trove crits, not stuff multiple tiers below the current tier.
F.e. you can get ET soul shields, we have ET -> HoI -> IA -> BM -> Poh -> True Poh, that's legit 5 tiers below the most current tier (aside from being able to farm Poh easily with ~15-20m dps already).
With how rare 3 star crits are I want them to be actually useful, but you get also f.e. ET weapon materials (ET -> IA -> BM). Replace them with the current tier so people can actually go for 3 star crits, right now aside from the gem crit, the true thunder/divine spark soul/true dauntless heart crit and the 25 Sterling Scale crit all the 3 star crits are useless to players on close to max gear.
There are also f.e. Hexagonal Garnets/Obsidians in crits with current max being gilded hepta you'd only need this crit 2187 times to finally have a max gem, no thanks.
- rarity of some "special" crits
Aside from the soul/heart crit, which I've never seen in the game before with more than 20k keys used in my bns life also the gem crits are waaay less often than earlier troves. You could actually trove to max your gems with like 4-5k keys, with current proc rates you'd probably need 50-60k or even more keys to max your gems. You get 200 Keys for ~100€, to max your gems with the gem bundles you need ~90k NCoin, so ~1120€ which would translate into 2.2k keys, it's just not worth it.
Increase chances for some rarer items, bait them with useful crits into spending more money.
- unrewarding 1 star crits
I know not everything should be a win, but when the best pick out of a key are 30k exp with a single mob in ad stage 71 (where you'd farm exp) is 300k it just feels bad and wasted. Spent money shouldn't feel worse than killing a single mob in a dungeon. Even stage 51 would be double the exp you'd get from spending money in trove.

Every time I see those items I think it's another waste to trove since all of those items are all not useful for any kind of main (or are even main story quest rewards lol)
- milestones were easier to "farm"
when the first soul/heart/pet/talisman psyches got released we only had a 300 milestone, making it possible to reach 3 of those psyches in 900 keys. Then they decided to add 2 more milestones up to 800 giving me only 1 of those psyches you actually do want instead of 3 for the same 900 keys. I don't even need the 500/800 rewards since I already exceeded that tier. Basically a 500 key waste of milestone rewards.
Put those 500/800 rewards in some crits for people who still need it, make milestones more farmable again.
To summarize it:
- Remove all the outdated/useless content from 2*/3* crits
- increase chance for 3* crits, so it's worth "farming" trove. Getting one 3* every 300-500 keys is annoying as hell, especially if you get the 3* crit with useless content (last trove I didn't get a single useful 3* crit and nearly all 2* crits were better than my 3* crits...).
- increase gold from trove (we had 1 trove where people actually gained gold instead of spending more than gaining and that trove got ninja nerfed without any kind of announcement in a regular maintenance), we are currently burning so much gold with the accessories without generating any gold.
- increase exp/reputation from trove (a single mob which takes 2 seconds to kill in exp farm gives 10x more exp than some trove exp rewards...), also some people weren't there on the hongsil event still needing to grind up reputation, make it easier to catch up with some trove rewards
- increase tier of obsidians/garnets aside from the fused hexa the next tier is square (no penta at all, no "non-fused" gilded hexa version for f.e. more likely crits aside from the rare hepta fuse gem crit)
- use f.e. 1.000.000 exp charms, Materials(Material Chests, Skystealer Crystals, Skystealer Crystal Pouches), Scales (not needed for the most current tier but maybe people still need it for lower tiers), Reputation Charms in 1* crits (if people want to spend 100€ for 200m exp, which is ~45 minutes of farming in Aerodrome, that's fully fine in my opinion). Just make it not feel like wasted money in 90% of the keys you open.
- remove 500/800 milestones and add those rewards to the crits, so we can "farm" the 300 milestone again
- just my personal opinion (and maybe unpopular), but I'd like more of a variety in the different keys so I'd actually prefer not everytime the same type of selection chests but would rather prefer sometimes f.e. directly Elysian Crystals instead of the selection box with the elysians in there. Just for some "what will I get, what will I get" feeling
Trove got more and more unrewarding over time and felt like recycled content (which it literally was most of the times, costumes got replaced and else it was literally the same trove a lot of times).
