  1. I enjoy tower of infinity and have since it first released. But there is issues that limit its enjoyment imho.

     

    Thoughts
    -Some opponents felt unfairly strong and unrealistically overpowered in skill spam. (BM and KFM come to mind)

    -Requires mastery knowledge of all classes. But there is just no information unless you train the class yourself. (quite time consuming)

    -Some of the games classes are quite complicated.

     

    Feature requests.

    -A timeline and skill record/history of the player and opponents on defeat.

    -A simple summary of every class and spec. (which skills offer crowd control, burst damage, protection, escapes, resets etc.)

    -Realistic limitations of the opponent.

    -client side hit detection to alleviate ping issues.

     

    I've thought about this for a while, if I think of anything else i'll comeback and edit Post version 1 (15/10/2022).

  2. Would love to read more details on how everything evolved.

     

    I always felt annoyed that we have skill cd resets, animation cancelling, wall banging, ultimate skills and then 3rd specs came. I thought "how will PVP survive this".

    It seems like the game has also had a vacuum of useful information. I cant find out anything about recent content through google anymore. Even youtube searches lead to outdated or poorly made long videos that cover 90% of things that are tediously obvious and dont need explaining.

     

    Quite funny when people comeback to the game after a few years and cause wipes in raids or easy mode dungeons because 'things have changed' with no documentation. "remember the Asura boss mechanics kids", well now that will cause a wipe. "remember the 2 babies in Asura, well now that will cause a wipe".

     

    Breaking down those useful information walls of the past past. To how it is now has been the most challenging aspect to retaining my interest in the game. I learnt all those mechanics, in the past now they flipped it around.


    I also wish the aoe and knockdown spam from some bosses had more logic to them. Pohwarans fight she telegraphs her moves and damage so clearly and logically and gives the tank and agro purpose. Yet over half the bosses now just sit in the center and spam AOE's or knockdowns.

     

    Remember when summoners cat taunting was actually useful and cats could actually tank and keep the agro in absence of a good tank? Now those cats die all the time during the fight.

    I think theres coincidentally truth to that. Just got the 1 hp bug in my group at 6000hp Was getting the lag moments through out the fight.

    Then at the end even though only taking 1 hp per hit his hp was going down 500 pts a second. seems a bit out of this world that a group of 12 could hit a boss 300 times each second.

     

    During the last trove too i went a full month without having any issues at all in Koldrakes. Funny though asking us to avoid koldrakes. The issue is not always present. Yesterday my summoner went twice and both times had no lag by my dancer did get the lag. It seems totally unpredictable. Which further makes me think its someone in the group using an exploits that cause this issue.

    How much ram does your system have spare? On my old i5 4590 (8gb ram) windows 7. It loaded atrociously slowly. When i increased the ram that sped it up substantially.

    lol.. Half my runs i have to afk because pressing buttons does nothing... untill he does the tail swipe where i can maybe get 1 or 2 hits in. before the unresponsive skills kicks in again.


    The games netcode is broken and Koldrakes is the prime example of where we see it break. Its depressing sitting there at the tail spamming buttons and nothing happens.

  6. The smooth run of problem free Koldrakes since trove started ended today. :(
    Same issues of skills not being cast and unresponsive popped up again.


    Funny when he done the tail swipe everything returned to normal for a brief few seconds and i got a combo off.

    Thankfully no disconnects but the server response delay was so bad i didnt get any chest. (not enough dmg dealt i guess).

    I used to follow the PVP esports scene religiously especially the Korean comps. Even had wealth of notes and knowledge on each class, counters and builds to coach my clan members who loved it up until 2017. 

     

    Then they put 1v1 on the back to push 3v3.

    Then the expanded specializations came in.

     

    How bad is it though? Previously we just needed to learn 2-4 skills each class to watchout. I thought Tower of Infinity was a great way to learn classes outside of PVP until i learnt the AI has broken cooldowns and buffs applied. Toi hasnt really been updated with the new classes though.

    Yea, me too..
    The same translated message exists on Taiwan and China client though. (exact same wording).


    From my experience it does appear at times when pings are very erratic. (Particuarly if youre connecting through wireless).


    Not a fan of auto deleted bans though, what happens if theres a bug in the system? or it detects some badly mistimed or dropped packets? They cant even give us a reliable experience of changing characters without disconnecting. How on earth they intend on giving us a bug free autoban/delete system.

     

    Im not against an anti cheat, but automated deletion sounds like a very very bad idea.
    I remember when Cabal Online tried something similar about 10 years ago. After an update to start a Christmas event a mis-configuration existed that triggered a mass ban wave over 8 days of Christmas of all times. All staff on holidays + a bug that triggered bans and account deletion.
