  1. Looking at the TOS I'm afraid there is no need for any kind of compensation. Though it would certainly be much appreciated.
  2. I've found something that works for me and it doesn't involve Macros. You can remap keyboard keys to different keys by redefining key assignments in your Windows registry. I mapped left and right arrow keys to F1 and F2 respectively, since I don't use F1 and F2 in Blade & Soul. So I assigned F1 to strafe left and F2 to strafe right in Blade & Soul key assignments. That works. (I also remapped F3 to arrow left and F4 to arrow right function in Windows registry so I can still move my cursor when I use something other than Blade & Soul). If you don't want (or don't know how) to mess with your registry yourself you can use KeyTweak: https://keytweak.de.softonic.com/ Note that this is not a Macro Third party thing but a simple Windows registry editor. It does not and cannot perform complex actions on one keystroke - it can simply remap your keystroke to activate another key which circumvenes the current bug in Blade & Soul. You need to restart your PC for remapping to take effect and you can of course remove mapping when you don't play Blade & Soul, restart PC and do something else. It's some extra work everytime you want to play, but it works. Doing that by editing your registry by hand is a lot of more work, of course, so I do hope this bug gets fixed asap.
  3. Maybe, just maybe, they're trying to tell you that you could use it and won't be prosecuted for it under the current special circumstances without explicitly telling you that. Just my wild guess and by no means sth to rely on either *wink* *wink* *wink*
  4. I would assume that the 5 people writing in this thread is the minority of affected players who will actually write something about it. Of course it's still a minority of players who are affected. As I had tried to point out, however, that minority had some work to do to get the game going for them in the first place. That's why frustration kicks in a bit earlier, if what you have had to come up with yourself suddenly breaks down. I just wish that could be a reason to not just follow the basic economical calculations you're alluding to, though that's probably naive...
  5. I contacted Customer Support as advised. The reaction to a detailed report of the problem and the question if premium membership can be suspended was completely generic and so far off that I don't even know how to continue communication. What I wrote has obviously not been understood at all and I actually doubt it has even been read by an actual person. If it has been, there was a severe lack of reading comprehension involved.
  6. While I can comprehend everything that's been said here about how the problem is dealt with, I wonder what would have happened if the same problem had occured with WASD keys?
  7. Thanks for the update either way. Would be much appreciated if you could give an update once teams have analyzed if it's said few lines of code or mutliple interdependent systems doing unexpected things, which ofc is any coder's nightmare. Would it be possible to set premium membership on hold somehow for players affected until the bug is fixed?
  8. Would you please communicate some kind of timeframe when this might be fixed? It's great the issue has been acknowledged and forwarded, thanks again for that. Knowing when the problem might actually be solved would surely greatly help and comfort the players affected by it. I would also, like several other posters in this thread, like to know if there will be any kind of compensation, especially for those who are prevented to make normal use of their premium membership during the times they could not play properly. Left-handed persons playing games always have an extra mile to go, since most games do have a standard configuration of controls set for right handers, but very few have the option to switch that standard to left-handed, since key settings for that are simply not provided by most games. So there's a significant amount of time necessary to set up a game to even work for us in the first place, if the game doesn't offer a left-handed standard. Most of the lefties I talk to end up using arrow keys for character movement. Encountering a bug like the one now is extra frustrating for those reasons. I personally don't even buy games unless checking gaming forums beforehand and doing search engine queries to verify that key game controls can be remapped for left-handed players. Some games have arrow keys as fixed functions and thus cannot be remapped for movement - I can and will not buy those games. I double checked on that before starting Blade & Soul as well. It was a key element for my decision to start the game (and spend money on it as I went along playing). Sadly, in the current state of the game that research would end differently than it did when I started. I say this as an enthusiastic supporter of the game in all the communities I'm active in, because I think that this game is often pretty underrated looking at the many things this game excels in: Combat is so very intuitive and rewarding, immersive gaming experience as a whole, great graphics, clever world-design and storytelling with surprising twists you seldom get in AAA titles. I would very much like to continue enjoying all that.
  9. I hoped it would happen before next Wednesday, but I'm not so sure if my epectations are realistic whatsoever_ From talking to people ingame I got the impression that bug correction generally takes a bit longer here than in the games I played before.
  10. Thanks for the update. Can you communicate what that means in terms of time needed? I'm delaying the more complex weekly acitvities right now, hoping this gets fixed before Wednesday. If that's not to be expected, however, I would actually have to start as early as possible, because some of the stuff will take several tries in the current state of the game for me...
  11. I'm relatively new to the game, so maybe some of the more experienced players can tell me: Is it normal for bugs in a core element of the game, like if you are able to control your character's movement, stay in that long? Looks like this is going to stay over the weekend, maybe even until next patch Wednesday? Not used to that...
  12. For me it sure did, as described above, back from intuitive to counterintuitive. I see your reasoning, but that should be two different options imo: Take all and Take all single items.
  13. So thanks again for everyone who helped here. I now play Lotus mostly, since it's very reliable in sustained dps, has decent burst windows and is pretty stable for soloing stuff with the long iframe. I must say that using XML or even easy mode associated with it means substantially lower dps in real fights than playing it manually, so that's what I'll be sticking to.
  14. Any help in sight for this? I would very much like to try the new Ajanara dungeon, but it's hard to do stuff in a game, the combat system of which really excels in how much situational awareness and movement is required to succeed. Arrow keys for movement and NumPad for abilities is deep in my lefty muscle memory in every game I play. Stumbling through Blade & Soul's world the way I do now is a real downer.
  15. Either way taking all at once was possible until yesterday. Imo ticking the "select all" box implies that exactly. If your usecase is like you wrote, you're not supposed to tick a box like that, but do it manually in the first place. "Select/take all" is a generic function in just about every item transfer UI - and should therefore do exactly that.
  16. Yeah, it used to be like that for quite a while, but that bug had actually been resolved. It returned with today's patch, however...
  17. Here you go: As you can see I play in German language, so the keybinds are also in German. Here's a translation of the first four: Auf = Up Ab = Down Li. = Left Re. = Right <- That's the four arrow keys The rest of the keybinds are the same in German and English I think, except the last two are probably different due to American / European keyboard layout. But I think that's irrelevant for the bug described here, since Walking and Autorun are not affected by it...
  18. After the new patch my keybinds for movement don't work properly anymore. I'm left handed, use my left hand for mouse and right hand for keyboard. I always map arrow keys for moving left, right, forward and backwards. I have turning mapped to A and D (but I don't use it, since you turn your character with mouse movement in Blade & Sould mostly). BUG: Since today left and right arrow keys make my character move/strafe left/right AND TURN to that direction simultaneously. That turning cannot even be countered by turning the mouse in the opposite direction. Pressing A and D on the other hand will not turn the character anymore (in fact any other keys mapped to turning will not work either if strafing is mapped to arrow keys). When I swap key mappings for moving/strafing and turning everything works: A and D for moving/strafing left/right and arrow keys (or any other key) for turning will strafe and turn separately as it's supposed to be. It looks like that bug only occurs, when you map moving left and right to arrow keys. Whichever other keys you map to turning will not work, no matter what. This is only after today's patch. I have had my keymappings like this right from starting Blade & Soul and it has never been a problem. Sadly, game is unplayable atm for me.
  19. Ah, perfect, everything I was looking for and more. Much appreciated 🙂
  20. Can anyone provide info on how to play Shifting Blades properly, pretty please? 🙂
  21. I wasn't judging the spec as a whole, just how much fun to play it currently is in that level range. That's why I wrote that I will wait for all skills to get unlocked until I eventually decide. (Maybe I'll even switch specs situationally if this game lets you - generally not a good idea in games that have you acquire different kinds of gear sets for the same class in different specs, but I can't tell here yet). I assume that at level 60 it won't make sense for me to try and decide on which spec to use if I only know rotation/situational combos for one of the possible specs, cause that one will always "feel" better. That's why I'm looking for info to get a rough idea on how to play Shifting as well, practice both a bit and then decide. Until then I will obviously continue leveling, and simply decided no to do it in the 2 button spec, cause it's not much fun for the time being. That doesn't alter my long term plan, though 🙂
  22. So at level 19 I actually switched to Lotus - and found it pretty boring to play in comparison to Shifting, I hate to admit. Shifting is pretty complicated, but also a lot of fun to play, since at that level it's a lot of different options when handling trash, which is what leveling pretty much consists of. Whereas Lotus is pretty much LMB/RMB and everything's dead, before you can do any of the other stuff (at least since I don't have petals yet). Since I also like bursty specs a lot, I will probably stay with Shifting for now, at least until I have unlocked Lotus' key abilities. Looks like I will decide on which spec to play after having reached 60 and tried both in their final form... That being said: Can anyone point me to a written guide on Shifting as well, maybe? Thanks everyone for helping out an undecided newby 🙂
  23. Ups ok, thanks for pointing that out. Kinda hard to know what crosses lines in different games, since there are so many different policies. I kinda like the no-3rd-party-stuff-whatsoever approach that e.g. BDO has. I was just trying to understand what people are talking about in some places other than this. I'm not interested in doing that kind of stuff anyway 🙂
