You just need to do the story. L48 is like 2 year old land. EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT NOW and the free gear you will get from doing the yellow story quests will totally blow away anything an old L48 could possibly possess.

FWIW, the big gear upgrade (aka erase all your prior hard work) system started in the spring of 2017 when the ivory potatos and the scorpio bling that people slaved to build (remember all the pirate emblems and that other thing siren? emblems?) got removed and the HM resets and skill resets started. I was crushed. I worked so hard on that gear that was instantly equaled by any brand new nub doing the story. (ya those stingers that gold spammers still offer was part of that big change in march 2017) Nothing has changed in these subsequent 2 years. Anyone crying about this is a brand new nub who doesn't know how it works around here. I knew in the summer of 2017 when I did a trove to build longuii shields without doing msp, how this was going to go. I KNEW back then that I wasn't ever going to use BT shields, and I could just wait without having to go through the absolute BS of those raids. So here we are. I just built a full set of built VT shields. I saved the 40 masterworks shield enhancer things for almost 2 years from that 2017 summer trove to build my VT shields with full crit adders. You want aransu 9 now? well ok, since they reduced the mats needed. NOW you can leave A6. but if you are really broke, just wait, the next upgrade will give it to you in the story. Me, I can afford 1 PTS at the rate I accumulate hive queen hearts so I am going for it haha. I WAS working on building my soul but my plan for 60 oils and the farming of 1000+ moonstones over the past year and running CS/mandate every day when it wasn't cool to save demon stones, but see what happened? I was a fool, a tool, a chump..... Here is the plan: to actually have a long range game plan is useless. If you want celestial shields just wait 6 months when the story gives you L70, HM24 and full celestial shields and the key upgrade mat to leave aransu weapon behind forever, without EVER having to go into that stupid waste known as a "raid" So, when extreme frustration sets in RE-EVALUATE. NO ONE HAS A GUN TO YOUR HEAD. If you don't like the game during this event, take a break. duh? do your daily dash, log in rewards, DC and anything that is actually fun, and go do something else after that while you wait for the next move on No Confidence Soft's part. just don't stress. Save your game money, save all mats you do pile up because you may get 10k useless MSP green shards from the next mat exchange, and you haven't lived until you have multiple 10k plus stacks of useless mats. This event is awesome. I never even read the letter, so I have zero problems with the event. This is how you survive for the long haul once you realize what is really going on. YOU CANNOT HAVE THE NEWEST SHINY THING WITHOUT PAYING A TON OF MONEY. as soon as you lose the NEED for that newest shiny thing NAO!! you basically have beat the game. If you don't like what the game is doing NEWS FLASH! you are in charge, take a break.... ps. don't rag on the whales. a couple billionaire's kids can float this entire game for the rest of us. And at that point they will start encouraging common folk to play just to keep up some population by giving us all kinds of stuff that the whales spent thousands of dollars/euros on mere months prior. So "YAY FOR THE WHALES" I appreciate all you pitch in to float this mess for me to have fun.

If you have played this game for more than 6 months it makes perfect sense. Things get changed in steps. Eventually the requirements will be dropped at all vendors. watch how they do shields and that will tell the entire tale for all the other gear. you now can get 1st 3 celestials with no requirements. First longuii shields were the bomb. Then they started giving those away. At one time you could only get the first few BT shields, then they gave them away and now they are trash because they are giving away the next level aransu shields in moon refuge which only were unrestricted a month ago. (well you could get the 1st 4 unrestricted with the 1 week of free premium, which I did on the last week of free premium). My advice: if you want unrestricted hellion core bling vendors in mushin's tower, just wait a month and you will have it. If you are in a hurry, as mentioned above, farm spiders..... for example: I KNEW king gloves were going to be on the giveaway list shortly and POOF here they are. I get to put my good old NPC gloves in storage for the King glove upgrade. It took like < 1 hr to farm 120 buds, and the best part was that the gloves dropped from the NPC on my VERY FIRST PURCHASE ATTEMPT and no one tried to outbid me. HAHA. you tricky mgmt. , selling buds in f10 shop on "free king glove" day.

lol. drop rate is now zero for obsidian serpent. Also, fwiw I got the mask on run 27, the hat on run 29 and the outfit on run 35 also by doing like 5x failed daily's a day. my worst was 143 stinkin pinchy tokens to get that outfit. saw a few hats and never once saw the 3rd like tail piece. after easily 400-500 dark balrok kills I have only seen the outfit 1 time. I got the deva outfit on the very first roll, kaari took maybe 10-11 tokens and lycan set was probably about 30 total. so ya, RNGeesus is the true lord and master. how do you like them apples oh rage-quit, thread-necro, hosed by RNGeesus, person? You are basically emphasizing the problem that I see. I am one of the piddly few who has stated my beef regarding the demon stone BS, 1st post page 8. BUT, I am trying to deal in reality. I have again taken a hard look around the game areas that I hang out in. tons of people and at least 2/3 all premium. If 99% of a company's clientele is OK with the way things are going, they would be poor business people if they threw that aside for the 1% who make the most noise but probably don't even put in 1% of the money. The forum is a great filter for mgmt. because all problems whether important or not, get brought up here. Like computer issues. they cant help you with your screwed up computer. that's your unique problem, so those people are only going to get lip service from support, but those threads still get created. ftp and scavengers get burnt, who cares? life goes on. A handful of raging f2p players quitting doesn't really hurt the bottom line all that much. This is just what I see, so totally anecdotal, but I think this is how it really is. I personally am done spending my money on this game until I get the necessary "things", IDC what they are, but the "THINGS" that will let me make 60 oils to replace the demon stones I collected for 2 frickin years. so if that is 600 demon fragments, then that's what I want or that's it for me. In a way, it is kind of nice having a definite full stop on game spending. I don't have to rationalize or justify anything because it is auto-NO! heh.

I have an "internet speed" story for you regarding my cable internet. I'm telling you this because it sounds like it is time to sling as much mud as possible at the walls in the hopes something sticks. This may not even help, but may at least add more perspective as to the kinds of things that just make NO sense. If you do not use cable internet then this probably is useless info lol. So here is the story: New internet provider is going fine in the beginning, but then after a few months I started noticing my download speeds were choking out more and more during prime time or at like 7am "check email" time. the quiet middle of the night was still fine. I first started feeling the lags playing in an mmo, This gradually got worse and the first conclusion was "oh, selling more accounts than router channels and we are getting multiplexed" . I started doing upload/download speed and ping tests like you have been doing and they showed that any ping that got through went just fine. Nothing looked wrong. Upload speeds were solid, but the download speeds choked out. this was solid data download vs ping checks and it sucked. I purged everything of mine, swapped cables, etc and it just was not likely that this was on my side of my router. My connection WAS acting like an intermittent failed wire on the download side, but my upload was solid so I have a hard time blaming my cable wiring since it all is on the same wire. so I called support and told my whole story. I told them it felt like out of 1000 packets 1 got through and the rest got choked or lost …. They nailed the problem in like 15minutes. The amplifier on my leg of the network was fading in strength and was losing most of its packets when fully loaded down. Once they turned up the power on the amplifiers, it worked like a champ, and has ever since. ************************************************************** point to the story: huge lags can = huge packet losses yet look like a number of other things. look for performance lag in only 1 direction, as it could be local switching hardware. Nothing lasts forever and mother nature is always looking to foul things up, so who knows...glw your mystery solving.

My guess is: If the mgmt. looks at the game stats of the players overall, and they see(for example) that most of the active players have premium and that the forum posters represent some (for example) piddly 1% of the playerbase, why would they even have a reason to address the concerns of the 1% in the forums? They are doing OK by 99% of the players...…..

Please stay on topic. The topic is XP. The XP is the 10k charms in the boxes is all i'm saying and that it approximates the old xp on the CB when combined with the sad 66xp per lunar grove mob that you need 15 of for each box. This thread topic THAT YOU STARTED (lol) isn't about the mats.

OK, so I farmed some spiders for like 20-30 minutes and got 26 boxes = 260k xp. The actual mob xp is insignificant overall, but I was resetting the quest just as much as killing spiders so those bud boxes piled up fast. Plus you don't need dragon soup or clan bonus since they are basically useless on 66xp mobs. eventually spiders will be the xp farming place if nothing else changes. I'm also thinking maybe leave the lunar mobs at L56 so we can faceroll them and throw the spiders on each other lol. the xp is in the boxes...…... edit: actually someone could calculate the XP/hour by the spawn rate of those 7 spiders in the spider bowl. assume they get killed in some 10sec each round and you need 15 of them. There really isn't a time-out while you reset your quest because the other group members are still killing. Maybe a few seconds would need to be added for once the quest is complete, you get no further quest kills until you reset the quest. Anyway , once the group gets into the groove, the boxes pile up fast, but there is a definite limit set by the kill+respawn times

ok, considering you aren't the only player in the game, there are people that need help farming the mobs in CB as they are. These are lower geared people. Sorry u can't just faceroll CB any longer but you have now levelled out of that lowbie area. SO, NO you leave the CB mobs alone. HOWEVER, seeing as you did not understand my somewhat cryptic humor before, my point was that they just made a brand new area for L60's and put L56 mobs in it for double-digit xp. which is mega-lame. IF they are going to put L60 mobs anywhere, that would have been the place. Also, mr type-b4-u-play. Spider farming is like a machine that grinds mobs non-stop, so IDK where you were. u should give that a try also, if you do the math, 15 x 66xp + 10k from the charm in th ebox divided by 15 =722 or so. do you remember what a battle priest in CB used to give? derr????

what about the brand new area for brand new L60's, the lunar area? It was given L56 mobs..HELLO???? once again for the awesome amount of 66xp per mob BOOYAH GRANDMA!!

If all the character slots are available right from the start, people will fill up with alts and play more/spend more. Think about it.

so, ok, we continue on without dealing with oils. oils were important money for me btw, so my carefully hoarded 60 demonstones was from like 2 yrs of collecting and my like 40 white orbs which I didn't burn in HM+CS because I was TOLD TO SAVE THEM. This is the crux: WE WERE TOLD TO DO SOMETHING AND GOT SCREWED FOR LISTENING. the fair thing would be to give me 60 oils worth of whatever replaces demon stones. also I have only spent maybe $850 on this game, so I can easily cut and run. NO MO MONEY FOR YOU UNTIL I GET MY 60 DEMONSTONE REPLACEMENTS SO I CAN CONTINUE FARMING THE OTHER OIL MATS.

After being 1-shot in the racoon village by some op jerks this thread makes me feel better OP is evidence of some of what is really wrong with the player-base

everyone that is having trouble with a windows PC has: A) changed game files, B) has things turned on/off/set in their OS that is non-standard, or C) conflicting apps/malware/security-ware, D) bad drivers or drivers not set up correctly or E) crazy stuff i'm not even aware of. my new installer installed automatically in 30 sec and a prompt for a site to go to, if there was trouble, appeared. Then about a 160MB update loaded and I was GTG. I run a clean windows with minimal apps and 3rd party crap running and I basically NEVER have trouble (been playing for 3mo shy of 3 yrs now) THE TROUBLE IS IN YOUR PC!

1st time in I got immediately 1-shotted. whatever is in there, I don't need evidently. also, after the jerk punks get bored maybe they will go back to posing in mushin's tower in a couple weeks my plan is to try it again in a month or 2

There are players who have real lives with real stress and work. The game is a way to decompress and relax. Raiding is serious gaming. It is almost like a job with schedules and training and yada. Not for casual players. But casual players can shoot up the woods at their own pace and eventually get some of the older raid stuff. My point is that it is also for casual players along with newer players fast tracking to catch up to more current top end raid gear. Mgmt is wise to cater to casual players who have jobs and far more disposable income and less time than bored schoolkids who have not been strapped by life yet. I am bummed that there are no decent XP mobs to farm BUT, in MF, if you count 15 of those 66xp mobs (990xp) PLUS the 10k charm in the box (10,990 xp per 15 mobs) which = 732xp, just like the thunderbutts and robbers in CB used to be, so I quit QQ'ing when I realized that. The XP bonus stuff is useless like clan/premium bonuses or soups.

Yes, as someone said: huge freezes. The client is alive and it has now happened to me twice in MSP, 1st time it was during Longuii #3 big purple effect, then I hung. but the client snapped back, after maybe 2 minutes, after I was kicked from the party cuz I didn't rez. lol, sry, I was too busy freezing to be rezzing. just happened again in MSP trying to finish part3, except it happened on boss #2 during a big purple effect. this freeze was deep and after like 5min I had to invoke the task manager who fired the client then I rebooted haha. I will try the turn off camera shake. this does seem internal to the game as I run a clean stripped down PC with little else running and rarely have troubles. this is not a DC issue for sure

a couple of things to think about before you burn your L60 voucher on a L50/55: In the past,the story quests supplied enough XP to level up to the next max level before the HM leveling kicked back in. You probably will want to do those quests anyway. IMO, the L60 voucher has the most value starting a new alt char or bringing a lowbie up, not a L55
