  1. You mean such as in cutscenes. So, there is a concept of the ability to fly by usage of chi?
  2. I'm a bit confused about this. Can someone explain. I remember a fight scene in act 6 chapter 11 where it appeared as if two characters possessed the ability of levitation and or flight. I know that outside of the cutscene there is no such thing, but going outside of the espects of the actual game. Does chi actually give the person the ability of levitation and flight? Is it kind of like that in Dragonball where the characters use there Chi/Ki for flight? Can someone explain exactly what you can achieve with the power of Chi?
  3. As the question asks, does anyone know what Hong Sokyun's name in Korean is? I'd like both the Korean characters and the actual pronunciation. Similar to below. Cat Guardian (고양이 수호자) (Goyang-i Suhoja) I'm not sure if the translation from English to Korean is accurate, but the example is none the less the same. Also, how would you say the name Young in Korean?
  4. Yeah, I'm talking about the beautiful brilliant blue one that you use as a transportation in later parts of the story. I wouldn't know about this as I don't think I have that feature unlocked, so someone else would have to verify. Well, that is true that it is the character's powers they obtained, the fact it says windstride when you use it to teleport your other students means that it can still be used as a Windstride and therefore is still classified as a Windstride when used as one. You don't see it say healing, transfering chi, or dragon pulse when using it for teleportation. Oops, I have no idea why the double post when I was editing.
  5. Actually it is a windstride, at least acording to what it stats when the character uses it. I thought it was something different myself, until I noticed that it said Windstride when I was playing one of my characters.
  6. No, you get me wrong. Jinsoyun's storyline did make sense because for one the character did not come into power as of yet. And sure, we got a few glimpses of the character showing off that power, such as the ending of act 4, which was the major point of where it was shown off. It was shown off a little during act 7 against Zulia, but even then the character couldn't even get close to her despite all the power the character is claimed to have. Now if they actually exchanged a few blows before the character got away, then perhaps it would be more believable. As for Mushin, the character continuously loses to him despite all that power. Sure, you get the chance of fighting him, but you still lose regardless. It would be a lot more impressive and believable if there was some sort of struggle on Mushin's half. Sure he might have achieved what he wanted in the end, but if there was more of a struggle against the main character to achieve that, instead of him showing up and pawning your character like a total rookie and newbie. Learning from what mistakes? The main character really learns from any mistakes. Regardless, this topic really has nothing to do with the main topic of this discussion, which I said was already answered. So why both changing the topic to something else. And sure, I get that it's a game. There is a difference between being 100% perfect, being a complete idiot, and being very powerful. Sure the person can make mistakes, but there was no indication that the character was making any mistake when they fought against Mushin in Act 8 or when the character was facing Zulia previously in Act 7. The character was just completely outclassed in every way. They didn't even manage to land a hit on the opponent at all, and that contradicts the fact that the Hongmoon Arts are supposed to be very powerful. Come on at least land a punch or a kick. Is that too much to ask for? Anyway, this topic is way off-topic, so I suggest dropping it as the original question was already answered.
  7. Ah, yea, I have seen the end of act 4, when the character gains the power. Then, later on, the character still gets owned despite the claim that the Hongmoon Arts are very powerful. That doesn't really make the Hongmoon arts seem very powerful if the character continuously gets defeated by other characters after obtaining the power. And you missed the fact that despite having that power, the character still allows several people to die, still gets owned previously by characters such as Zulia, Mushin, and even their own student. I mean take a look at act 8, where Mushin appeared and you had to fight him, only to get owned despite having the power of the Hongmoon School. So in a way, it is contradicting the fact that the Hongmoon Arts are supposed to be very powerful. Either that or the character is just too stupid to use them properly at the most precise moment when it really matters, such as saving someone's life.
  8. Does anyone know whether or not the ending of Adobe Flash Player in December will make Blade and Soul unplayable?
  9. The blue windstride doesn't happen until later on in the game, after act 4. That's interesting information, but isn't the NPC's windstride like 2.5 seconds? True, it was a little too late, but it is better than never.
  10. It still says three days for crafting time, but it's been a day or two since I made a contract, so I don't think the time matters. I thought you needed to collect everything within the crafting time of three days.
  11. Did anyone notice that there are two different Windstrides the main character does throughout the story? There is the green Windstride that takes 10 seconds to cast, and then there is the blue one that takes 8 seconds to cast. I just noticed there was two different ones.
  12. Thank you, this is much helpful. I'm glad to hear this as I wouldn't have collected all the items in three days.
  13. That's probably true, but the reason why I asked was because on top of Heaven's Reach all I could see was clouds and nothing below. Thanks for confirming that it isn't the highest point in the world, but I pretty much figured that considering there was no snow on the island. I know the reason for Heaven's Reach, I just wasn't sure it was in the sky. I thought it was on the ocean only until just recently. As for the Hongmoon arts being very powerful, that's a bunch of rubbish in the game at least. Even after gaining the power from Hong the character still gets owned by people that are stronger than them, which indicates that the Hongmoon arts aren't all that powerful as they are claimed. There was no information on how Lusung helped Jinosyun, Yura, and Gubong get into Heavens Reach. Yeah, sure he betrayed the Hongmoon School, that much we know, but there was no mention of how Lusung helped them get onto Heaven's Reach. He certainly couldn't have done it while inside the cave challenging your character. None the less, my question has been answered. The island is in the sky, but not so high up that it's the highest point in the world.
  14. If you already started a clan outfit contract and don't get the items needed, do you lose all the invested resources?
  15. Will do, but it probably won't change, especially the cutscene with Dochun looking at Heaven's Reach, which he can see from his boat. That wouldn't be possible if it was so high up. Technically, no place can touch the heavens. I have done that and noticed the same thing, but I also notice a few other things during the cutscenes. The first thing is mentioned above in the beginning cutscene with Dochun. The second thing I want to mention is the cutscene where the character is thrown off the edge of Heaven's Reach, which didn't look like a very long drop if you ask me. Update: I rewatched the first two scenes. The first one doesn't change as Dochun could still see Heaven's Reach from his boat, and in that cutscene, Heaven's Reach didn't look all that high up. As for the second cutscene, it was very hard to tell as they was only extremely short glimpses of the fall in-between the memories on Heaven's Reach. However, it did look like Heaven's Reach was a bit longer of a drop than what I originally thought in that cutscene, or at least as far as I can tell. Still, that doesn't really make much sense as to why Dochun was able to see Heaven's Reach from the ocean, or why Jinsoyun looked down off the edge of Heaven's Reach. However, Heaven's Reach can't be the highest place in the world. That information wouldn't make any sense because Heaven's Reach has no snow on it, unlike that of Jiwan's Peak, which is covered in snow.
  16. Is Heaven's Reach supposed to be an island high in the sky or just an island out on the ocean water? If I remember clearly, Heaven's Reach didn't look all that high up during the cutscenes. But standing on Heaven's Reach, I noticed that it seems to be up in the clouds and that you couldn't see the water below. However, I have to question that as I remember Jinosyun and the other two look down off the edge of Heaven's Reach. So I'm just curious as to just how high up is Heaven's Reach exactly.
  17. First of all the prestige is limit per character based on faction Rank, so you can't earn 100 times less, or you would have more than you can carry. Secondly, no offense to Soulstone plains, but I don't enjoy the place as much. Third, there are still other places such as Hogshead Pasture and Scorching Sands that the Faction still has prestige, yet they removed it from Misty Woods so people can't rank up faction. I simply rank up faction for the faction outfit, and to wear that outfit, you need to be Master Sergeant. I didn't even know they removed the prestige from Misty Woods until recently, or I would have never leveled a character past Scorching Sands until they was Master Sergeant. Actually, I find Soulstones harder to come by a lot more than Soulstone Crystals. Soulstone Crystals are so easy to come by that I get them all the time, but Soulstone tends to be lacking. The blue quests I don't mind that they are gone, but the only issue is that the older dungeons are becoming obsolete. I don't think anyone does the Blackram Narrow and Tomb of the Exiles dungeons anymore for level 20 and 36. Although, the disappearance of Blackwyrm, the two other, I think, BAMs in Misty Woods, and the missing Prestige from NPC's doesn't make sense. The reason it don't make sense is because all other faction locations other than Misty Woods still have their Prestige, so why bother removing it from one location? Yeah, it certainly has less interaction than it originally did, but most of this is to focus on ensuring the character makes it to the level cap faster.
  18. I understand that but making it limited to account and not character is ridiculous. It should only be limited to character, not account limited.
  19. Apparently, the Misty Wood's Faction NPC's Prestige is removed. This was a stupid idea if you ask me. It makes it so no level 45+ player can gain prestige anymore unless they level their character to 50, which sucks big time. Some people don't want to wait until level 50 or 60 to level up their faction rank with prestige, so with the removal of no prestige after 39-43 in Hoghead Pasture, it's a really low blow.
  20. I noticed there seems to be a daily limit of 10 items a day for one account, which I think is completely stupid. It makes no sense to limit the entire count to 10 items on the market a day, and to make matter's worst, when you take an item off the Market, it is still counted towards the daily limit instead of giving you another slot to sell something. This should change. To be able only to sell ten items per account is ridiculous. If it was like 25 items per account at the minimum or 50 at the maximum, it would make sense, but common, 10 items per account? Seriously? I know of games where I can sell much more per account than 10 items. I suggest this be improved, or the market will become completely useless. What would be the point of having it if you limit how much can be sold in the market?
  21. I just got disconnected from the game, and after logging back in, it says the game is in maintenance. What is going on with this maintenance as it was unexpected. Does anyone have any information as to what is going on? Nevermind, it's back up not, but not sure what happened.
  22. That's not helping me figure out how much you run using 1,000 windwalk stamina. That's only telling how long it took you to run 20m. The question is, did it take you 1,000 Windwalk stamina to run that 20m, more or less? In any case, the smallest desert on our Earth is 600m wide, so 270m for how large the Scorching Sands wouldn't make sense at all. That would make it smaller than the smallest dessert in our world. On top of that, with all the campsites and locations in the Scorching Sands, it makes the size of 270m even more unrealistic. So this information doesn't make any sense unless you're calling the Scorching Sands small. I used your calculation as well as how much stamina it took me to get across the Scorching Sands to determine the length of the area. 4m/s x 12 = 48m or 4 x 12 = 48m 48m x 5.625 = 270m or 48 x 5.625 = 270m First your measurement of 4m/s, which is 1,000 Windwalk Stamina per second. Times that by 12 because everyone has 12,000 windwalk stamina at Windwalk level 1. That equals 48m. Now take 48m, which is your measurement of how fast someone can run in 12s, and times it by 5.625, which is the multiplied amount of stamina used to run through the Scorching Sands. It took me 5.625 times the stamina, which is why I'm multiplying your 48m/12s by 5.625. That equals 270m, which is smaller than that of 600m of the smallest Dessert in our world. So basically, you calling the Scorching Sands extremely small, where you can run across it in less than a mile.
  23. Wait, so you are saying that the average person runs 4 meters with 1,000 Windwalk Stamina? That would mean that the average person runs 48 meters in 12 seconds, but that doesn't seem right. My previous run through the Scorching Sands at Windwalk level 1 used 5.625 times the stamina, which would mean your saying the Scorching Sands is 270 Meters long. That's not even a mile, which would make the Scorching Sands small in comparison. It just don't add up. The Scorching Sands couldn't be that short.
  24. Yeah, I get that the NPC's are faster than us, but that is how they are programmed. They are meant to be faster, no matter how fast you are, for some unexplained reason. However, that doesn't really have to do with the actual people (Aka, players). NPC's don't count unless their speed is programmed the same. What I was asking was whether or not the stamina of Windwalk is related to feet, yards, meters, miles, or kilometers.
  25. So again basically you answered my original question in a weird way and believe that you run using meters, not feet, yards, miles, or kilometers. All you had to do was mention a measuring system that you think the character runs. Such as whether they run in feet, yards, meters, miles, or kilometers.
