  1. In light of today's server consolidation, making each server have merely one server, it would be nice if you could enable features like Clan Invite and Request Trade for Cross-Server dungeons (and Battleground?).
  2. That's a stupid sentiment. Do you mean they should relocate their Jinsoyun server to Portugal, so that anyone in Central Europe will have bad ping instead? Fantastic idea.
  3. Another update: Sogun's Lament and Desolate Tomb at the Cardinal Gates are displayed as Lonely Bastion and Tomb of the Exiles on the World Map. Brood Chamber's Vetarex encounter calls the mechanic orbs spawned from the Blood Condensers "Brood Orbs" in the message pop-up and "Demon Blood Orbs" in the Combat logs. The tooltip description for the "Remove Brand" debuff in Nightfall Sanctuary's Shield Bearer encounter says you have immunity to the "Unfaithful effect", which isn't any effect from what I've seen.
  4. Yep, +1 to this. I'd also like to mention that the Moonlight Bud merchant needs extreme changes. Raven King's Animus requires 120 Moonlight Buds, an item that is usually trashed in Skybreak Spire PUGs and isn't any expensive on the Marketplace. This should honestly cost like 10 Moonlight Buds from the merchant. This also applies to Raven King's Soul, worth 30 Moonlight Buds. Naryu Sanctum Bracelet Chest requires 120 Moonlight Buds. Are you even aware this is free if you complete the "Know Thine Enemy: Part 2" quest? Sky Inheritance Ring Chest, King Gloves - Stage 1, Skypearl Apex Chest - Stage 1, and Skysunder Elevation Chest - Stage 1 are kind of alright, but could use a small reduction in price. These are all from older accessory tiers, so asking for 120 Moonlight Buds is a bit steep. Skybreak Ring Chest and Skybreak Earring Chest. They are guaranteed from Skybreak Spire, so why even keep them here? You're provided a Riftwalk/Dawnforged - Stage 3 weapon from the latest side story, which is more than enough to run Skybreak Spire. Replace the Skybreak Chests with Darkstorm Necklace Chests, if anything. Also, add untradable Soulstone Crystal, Sacred Crystal, Moonstone Crystal, and Elysian Crystals as an exchange option. You got players quitting due to the pressure of constantly having to log in daily, and unlike games like Black Desert Online, you can actually make up for lost play time by just spending extra hours grinding. Give us that option in something like Moon Refuge and we'd all be happy. And don't make it RNG-based.
  5. As much as I liked Jonathan, I think Blade & Soul got more of a face and a personality with the new crew. Linda Hime, Justin Irwin, and Brett Jaxel that are hosting the livestreams are putting up a much better face for the game imo, and I personally feel more inclined to support the game in whatever means I can.
  6. There has been alt-friendly events since the launch of this game, exclusively. At no point did they ever ask for DPS until now. Stop whining.
  7. No - this event does not make Blade & Soul suddenly qualify as being labeled as a Pay to Win game. I've personally purchased the grand total of 25 RNG boxes since I started playing and can successfully defeat the Stage 4 Sacred Longgui before it enrages, and that's without using the Fleeting Forge and Fleeting Flame weapon. Even if you don't manage to meet the damage requirements for the Sacred Longgui, that doesn't mean that new players are excluded. I'm personally doing Ring of Reckoning 1-3 as well as Desolate Mausoleum on my alts to get what people consider to be the most difficult equipment upgrade currency: Sacred Vials. All you're missing out on by not being able to clear Burning Mausoleum or the final stage of Sacred Longgui is a cosmetic item, Octagonal Gems, and the three first pieces of the Grand Celestial Oath Soul Shield set. You can already purchase the first two Soul Shield pieces by just completing Hall of the Keeper and Hall of the Templar to get those two, while the final piece can be farmed from Midnight Skypetal Plains. Does that mean that the event is good? Not really. Those able to defeat the bosses in Ring of Reckoning and Burning Mausoleum probably have the Nightfall Sanctuary gear that the event is offering, yet those players are the only ones who can obtain that event currency. That does not however mean that Blade & Soul is suddenly Pay To win. You can still get all of your sought after Sacred Vials and Pet Packs by doing absolutely nothing.
  8. Sorry for bringing back an older post. I need to mention how much I love this post by you Youmukon, and I wholeheartedly agree. I also love that you're honest to players who might have misunderstood a game design instead of responding with the old, typical "Thanks for your feedback" reply. It's why you're by far my favourite CM and seeing new posts by you is always a joy. That said, I can't help but ask the question - are we to blame for that line of thinking? For the kind of thinking where when we see a new system like the Unity system, we complain about the Daily Cap because we want to max it as fast as we can? I don't think it is. Rather, I think it's because of the game that the people at NCWEST together with Bloodlust decided to make. Because to monetize the game, you decided the best way would be to put in daily, time-consuming game activities to keep players logging in, grinding all the time. You constantly raise the bar for the highest gear obtainable and you always push new events that we go out of our way to make spreadsheets for in order to maximize the number of upgrade materials we can get. Because in a game like Blade & Soul, there is no other option - you want to level life skills, like fishing, hunting, sailing, or alchemy? No can do. You want to get into crafting and gathering? No can do. You just want to gear up very little while mostly socializing? No can do. Everyone is busy gearing their characters to the next extreme milestone that you put in place. That's why we immediately think of the Unity system as an obstacle that we need to max: everyone part of the decision-making for Blade & Soul has nurtured and raised us to be on a neverending journey of gearing our characters. By just missing a single day, we'll lose out on that event currency, and we'll lose out on that Daily Challenge, and we'll lose out on that Unity grind. Because at this point, I'm personally deep enough into the Blade & Soul rabbit hole to wake up in the morning and instantly think about what I need to do before the dailies reset, putting my education at risk. Right now we're counting down our days when the final three servers are merging into one for Europe, down from the 18 that we started with, and apart from the poor services that NCWEST provides (bad maintenance times, misinformation, poor communication, lacking patch notes, incorrect translations, you name it), the game itself is just too time-consuming. All my old Nightfall Sanctuary raid members quit except 3 people, and they're all happy with their choice. Maybe it's time for the remaining player base to do the same. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  9. The new UI question mark tooltip in the Hongmoon Store says "But a variety of items [...]" rather than Buy. Legendary Orb from the Legends Reborn event is called Killshot Coin in the Received Items menu. Character Info's Skills feature when not viewing the upgradable skills says for example "2Level" and "4Level" for the level requirement for each skill rather than, for example, "Level 5".
  10. The patch notes for Legends Reborn are terrible. Apart from the class changes (which had so many translation- and factual errors that I don't know where to start), most other things were blatant copy-paste from the previous Items & Systems Preview. In four hours, I'm meant to lead my raid through TT, and if not for us doing your job translating from Korea's forum, I would be going in completely blind. I still kind of am going on blind, since there is no way for me to know what you guys decided to "reduce the difficulty" of. If you can't explain in words what mechanics are being changed, I would be fine with you asking a Blade & Soul veteran about what the nerfs mean tbh. No more of this retarded "Adjusted mechanics and reduced the difficulty of the Grand Celestial Emperor encounter", and no more of this "The following Dungeons and Raids have had their difficulty lowered". It reeks of a complete lack of knowledge of the game.
  11. Before going further - thanks for taking this post into account NC! I've seen a bunch of the errors I pointed out being fixed. The game feels a lot more genuine when the feedback given really gets changed. :) The "Pride" pedestal used to summon Kaari Lord in Cold Storage refers to Orb of Ascension as "Black Rose Orb". Frozen Feather's tooltip description refers to the item as "Black Rose Feather". Blade Dancer's Thundering Blade skill "Fatal Blade" uses incorrect skill requirements. Fatal Blade's tooltip states that it requires "Accumulation Stacks" The class-specific UI refers to it as "Electric Spirits" The Status Effect Icons refers to it as "Bladepoint" The Equipment Upgrade Path feature refers to "Awakened Skyreach Gloves - Stage1" as "Unbound Skyreach". Blossom Orb's tooltip refers to the Blossoming Soul event as "Cherry Blossom event".
  12. Why would you put so much care into the Hongmoon Training Room? Go do some dungeons, test your skills in solo dungeons, or participate in a raid.
  13. As someone else pointed out, Moon Refuge was dead at launch. My suggestion would be to incentivize farming for not just new, but old players as well. You've already got what you need - nice looking graphics? Check. Mobs that don't CC? Check. Quest NPCs and Dragon Pulses spread across the map? Check. Open-world group content? Check. As much as I'd like to ask you to put in Sacred Vials or Pet Packs (especially with the introduction of the Talisman), how about adding Moonstone Crystals, Elysian Crystals, Sacred Crystals, and Soulstone Crystals in exchange for Moonlight Bud? If people were to use an opportunity like that, it would also require you to actually put in a proper grind to reward ratio. That would likely not even conflict with Daily Challenge. Considering how you so spectacularly scammed players of White Orbs, you still need to do Daily Challenge for the Orb of Ascension Shard, which in turn is the only way to transmute Sacred Oils as well as an efficient way to gain Reputation in the new Unity system. Not to mention, since you butchered gold rewrads all the way up to Sandstorm Temple, I see it only fair. :^)
  14. With the Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan update, all classes switched from the old elemental stats and accessories to specializations. Naturally, this was at conflict with the loot table from the major raids and was therefore replaced with a new Ring and Earring chest from each boss. First of all, why was this not mentioned in the Legacy of the Hongmoon Clan: Items and Systems article? People had to figure out how it worked either by reading Korean articles or by looking at the Cherry Blossom Treasure Trove Info menu. You guys have always been kind of meh at publishing information to us, like how you missed telling us about the new Available Buffs in the Character Status UI that launched in Theater of Mystery, but the new raid loot system feels like an essential piece of information to disclose. Furthermore, which NCWest trainee is responsible for the namings of the new chests anyway? Why are there quotation marks for each chest? Why are they so awfully long? "Unrefined "Fighting Spirit" Celestial Emperor Ring Chest - Type" seems a tad long, right? Maybe shortening it to "Fighting Spirit Celestial Ring Chest - Type 1" would be better? Or even just renaming Fighting Spirit and Guiding Spirit to something else that isn't so long? Endeavour is a lot shorter, and I'm pretty sure Fighting Spirit is the name of a skill - not an accessory. Not to mention - sure, there's Guiding Spirit and Fighting Spirit, but what's up with Endeavor being nothing like the other names? Perhaps you could ask the developers if each cluster of classes share a certain trait - like how the current Endeavor cluster contains three classes all using a sort of blade of some sort and how the Guiding Spirit contains three classes that are ranged, and give a fitting name according to that? I haven't even talked about how for each accessory chest, the displayed class specializations's reward just show the same accessory over and over, taking up an obnoxious amount of space? Why not instead use a similar tooltip of the refined accessories, like how on the Skybreak accessories, there's a "Guide" section which explains "Enhance skills for Way of the [...]"? The patch as a whole with early stages of Class Awakening despite delaying it for MONTHS in order to make sure the patch is good (lmao), with worse than ever optimization, and breaking the Character Info feature once more (without fixing preexisting broken features), NCWEST as our publisher disclosing false information regarding Heaven's Mandate and Cold Storage loot, incompetent localizations, and a complete lack of communication is just icing on the cake. And before you say that they've gotten better at communication, that doesn't matter a single bit if what they communicate is incorrect.
  15. Thank you so much @Youmukon for both this information and the communication from the official Blade & Soul account. This is the kind of engagement with the community many wanted since launch, but never quite got except from when we tweeted at Jonathan. Keep it up!
  16. Ah, Goldleaf Foundry. I'm getting he's playing with the German or French localization.
  17. ..? Are you sure you're on the correct game forum? I have literally no idea what you're talking about. Goldfeilt Funder kind of reminds me of Naryu Foundry, but I don't know what this "Red Mask" and "mini-dungeon" is.
  18. Updating the thread with some more mistakes: Corrupted Prince Vetarex's name is displayed as Brood Prince Vetarex in the Daily Quest. The Peacekeeper's message "The Peacekeeper creates a barrier around the target of Binding Stare" is missing a blank. "Blackram Supply Chain" is displayed as "Leviathan's Horde" on the World Map. "E. Fleet Supply Chain" is displayed as "Leviathan's Siege" on the World Map.
  19. On the 13th of September in 2017 with the launch of Rise of the Gunslinger, EU's Character Info page stopped working as intentional due to an issue where characters created after that patch could not be found after searching on them. Now that it's been bugged for almost a year and a half, and now that a character stats won't display properly, I think we've been patient enough. Can F2 please be fixed? It's been long enough. It's more or less a meme at this point.
  20. Thank you Liinxy! Your acknowledgement of this is very appreciated.
  21. Yeah, I noticed Wailing Archfiend too. Strange how this kind of stuff occur so often. Here's some more incorrect translations, starting with the one you pointed out: Brood Chamber displays the Corruped Prince Vetarex's name as "Wailing Archfiend" in the Play Infographic. Snowjade Fortress uses the Korean map's translation. Drowning Deeps dungeon uses an incorrect name upon entering the dungeon, namely "Drown Out". The Heart Nebula Stone's tooltip from the Blade & Soulmate event use an incorrect item description, "Reduces Soul Upgrade Costs" rather than Heart. "Sealed Hive Queen Heart" is called "Sealed Hive Queen Soul". Stage 10 Necklace acquired from Temple of Elvuium and Scion's Keep uses an incorrect naming for the Atrophy effect by calling it "Weakness". The Chat Setting's option for received damage is called "My Damage". Not exactly incorrect, but "My Received Damage" would make a lot more sense. Damage received from Blinding Storms in the Grand Celestial Emperor encounter is called "Dazzling Beauty Storm". The "Dungeon In Progress" in Character Status (P) displays the Corruped Prince Vetarex name as "Brood Prince Vetarex". The Dungeon In Progress in Character Status (P) displays "The Peacekeeper"'s name as "Peacekeeper". Voice-lines in the event dungeon Hongsil's Workshop use voice-lines from an incorrect NPC. General Moyun in the Hongmoon Training Room (F12) is called General Mo when spawning the boss. The Play Infographic uses "The Hive Queen" as the final boss's name, rather than "Hive Queen". Lastly, and probably most importantly, the Martial Tome is a mess. Really. Not just the translations provided by NCWEST, but also because there's a complete lack of basic formatting. Adding a Bulleted List, like I did here, would be fantastic for us to understand what our skills actually do. I'll try to update this list if I find anything else.
  22. In Brood Chamber's Vetarex encounter, one of the messages that show in the beginning of the 70% and 40% mechanic phases contain a small typo. The message show after the boss has applied the Gaze of Discordia debuff to the furthest player. Screenshot: Thanks in advance.
  23. 99% sure that changing a Blade Dancer's race is impossible.
