  1. Windows 7 user here. Using the old launcher. I logged in today, first time in a week, and right on the start menu with the pin code i got a slide show with about 5 fps. After some alt+tabing and looking on the temperature of my CPU/GPU (which was all cold as ice) the fps returned to it's normal 120. But when i got to the character screen it again dropped. After some alt+tabing it went back to 120 again, but after loading in to my character it droped back to 4-6 fps. After this i could return my normal fps with some alt+tabing, but the moment i open my inventory, quest menu, bank, skills or anything - it drops to 4-6 fps until i alt+tab for some more... This is ridiculous. People in chat told me that some of them had simillar problem with the after they installed the new launcher, but i still got the old one, so it's definately not a launcher problem, but most likely - broken game update or broken anticheat update.
  2. In what way? Also - limitless is not the only option for shadow badge. Old good legacy is still a neat option. If you have ok pc and connection and can reliably cast wingstorm 3 times during leech - you can use legacy for extra burst time. And it also reduces the time gaps between leech bursts.
  3. tl dr -- Before raven you don't even need any rotation. You can just get leech up almost instantly when after it wears off. I only started to actually develop and learn rotation when i switched to raven. I also started to train to do a sustain on pure rmb+f+4, which when perform ideal can make a lot of dps to fill the down time. (the ideal is when you can make the flow rmb>2>4>rmb>rmb>4>f>4>rmb>rmb>4>f>4 and so on). The basic idea is to chain your bursts as SB>leech>leech>SB with as little of a down time as you can. Remember that V skill is reducing leech cd by 1 sec at each hit. Also remember that 3 is reducing leech cd time by 6 at the last hit. I am always aiming to do 1 V during the 1st leech (not counting the initial V that will be always up when your leech hits), 1 V after that leech (btw salvo is reducing cd of V by 1 or 2 sec at hit), then folow it with 3 + V, after that the 2nd leech will be up in a second or two. And after the 2nd leech i am using SB again and the rotation is restarts. Haha ha ha haha Even if they can make more dps in the ideal situation vs a single enemy, the shadow is so much more versatile and will work well in any given situation. Ice build cannot beat that. Ice build is like a sniper rifle, while shadow is an assult rifle. The only piece of gear that favorite ice build is the VT soulshield. Raven weapon and the bracelet are much more useful to the shadow build. Because the bonus % to skill dmg is almost the same, but shadow warlock can dish out a lot more 4 nukes than ice (especially before VT ss). Also, the next soulshield tier will bring some benefits to the shadow build, so even the argument about the end game gear being so favoritable to ice will take a hit. Though if you are not getting the fun from mastering the shadow rotations, and all you want is to do max dps on a single target - then you can just switch to the ice. Dark side is not for everyone :p
  4. It's up to you. I went for raven straight from seraph. You will get a lot of damage with raven stage 3. The difference in damage between stage 3 and 6 is not that big. So you basically will get most of the benefits of raven even with just stage 3. But at the moment i am looking to upgrade to stage 6, mainly - to get to that 1.1k ap mark, so it will be easier to find parties. So you can go through riftwalk to get stage 6 faster at a lesser cost. But you will not be getting a lot of benefits from earlier raven stages along the way. Also, at some point you will have to train rotation with a longer leach cd, and riftwalk will not help you with this. So you should decide how to progress for yourself. Both paths are viable. One costs less, and another will give you more dps straight away and will demand you to get used to a new rotations and how to rmb-4-f properly to get a better sustain dps while you are waiting for cooldowns. And you should try to get as much pieces of BT ss with crit rolls as possible. Because you will have to stick with it for a long time (VT is much harder than BT) and you need all the crit rate you can get. So you might want to get even more feathers.
  5. The best way to get oils if you are on a tight budget - is to farm events using multiple characters. If you are still far from the awakened soul, then maybe it will be better to trade those 300 mushrooms for pet pods, sell 'em, buy hm coins, and open more character slots. And then make more alts (you will be able to try more classes along the way) so you can farm more oils with them in upcoming events.
  6. Don't buy HM skills for battleground points - you should just trade those for boxes that have moonstones and other resourses. Buy it with arena points - those are useless otherwise. And you don't need gear for arena - the stats are equalized there.
  7. I would also use move 1 even for pvp. The bonus dmg on the move 2 does not worth the cut of the base dmg after all the nerfs. primal badge can work very well in toi too. Especially vs classes that can not block. Absolutely agree. They are not that pricy right now, and you can also get them via buying the dualist bandle for 1199 nc coins. -- Also i would recomend to use sanctum move 2 in pve. You can avoid a lot of cc from the bosses with it to help yourself and party members. -- Once you will get BT ss set, it's higly advisable to get raven weapon as it provides a lot of dps for the shadow warlock. And with 1 min cd on your SB you can deal pretty good without -30% leach cd reduction, by rotaiting properly. The main way to rotate is to chain your bursts into one another. First goes SB, after SB ends, you are using leach. When leach ends, use V>3>V to get your leach out of cd asap, so you can use it second time before your SB comes from cd. If done right you will chennel your bursts in order: SB>Leach>Leach>SB>Leach>Leach>... And you will have about 39 seconds of burst time each 63-65 seconds. Each SB will mean a start of a new cycle of your rotation. -- Try to get as much crit rate as you can from soul shields and whatever alse. High crit rate will smooth out your leach bursts and general rotation. Short cd soul is a must, as it will provide you with a regular boosts of crit rate. So try to awakened ascendant soul ASAP. -- With my pleb gear i can get up to almost 160k consistant dps without any additional help https://i.imgur.com/X9htW5C.jpg So as a beginner you can take it as a reference point as of what you can get out of the shadow warlock.
